He did a job he got paid for. Who cares how long it took? As long as the job was done to my satisfaction, there is no issue with how long it took. In fact, the faster, the better. Nobody wants days and days of a crew of workers taking their good old time to do a job in a week that could have been done in a day.

I did this for two summers. With a team of four guys two that went ahead and edged and blew off the drive filled cracks. The other two would come in and seal. It was about 120 bucka for a drive this size and we would be done in 10 minutes. You dont like the price do it yourself

I guess I’d ask him how long before I could drive on it, pay the invoice, and then go do something more interesting for the rest of the day.

U make it look easy . I would have on accident - painted those white doors. The tree and the neighbour - on and left tracks all up and down like it was a stampede exhibition .

No prep, no edging, drive should have been swept and the lightly misted. A proper coating would have 2 coats, perpendicular to each other, applied 4 hrs apart. material is really thin, like the cheapest you can get at the store. And yes, I do my own very long drive sealcoating

This is a real problem in manuel labor jobs. I'll never forget being new to it and assigned to do something unrelated to the work. Once I was done we put it in the truck. Asked him why and he told me if you finish too quickly they will complain even if your the cheapest option.

He'd be waking up a couple days later to a gallon of white masonry paint splashed all over it. The time for haggling is before the job starts.

The thing is your not just paying for the time , your paying for the experience or the work..some people just want a free job
