Men will never even begin to understand how impossibly rigged the game is for women. You’re expected to be dainty, tiny, thigh gap, delicate AND simultaneously maintain a functioning cycle. But the body doesn’t work like that. The leanness they glorify is the same leanness that shuts your period down. And then the moment you gain enough weight to get it back, you’re “too much.” This isn’t some rare struggle at all but a lived reality of most women in modern society and “just don’t eat too much” doesn’t even begin to cut it when most women’s metabolisms are already on the floor from years of restriction, stress, vaccinations, birth control for acne given away like skittles, to name a few so leanness means borderline starvation & it doesn’t scratch the surface of what’s actually going on metabolically.
