are yall brain damaged or something? The trees naturally grow branches in those spots regardless of the weather. The reason there usually aren’t branches there is because the city pays for maintenance to branches aren’t blocking the sidewalk and road lol

Something im seeing in my town, just an observation, is that there is a lot of rotten wood in these houses. Porches collapsing, rotting trees. Just a theory, but i wonder if what was in that fog encourages fungi.

Probably insect damage. I’m thinking ants. Holes in the bark, prompting them to put on new branches. Not all trees will do it, but I think most, if not all, deciduous will. Look up coppicing.
