There is nothing worse than a person who is drowning in shame and refuses to help themselves. Instead they use projection as protection, bullying people on the internet and maybe even in person. They pass it off as a joke, a fact or a position of personal morality. These people cause real damage and it’s not right. The best way we can disempower anyone who does this is to arm ourselves with the knowledge they refuse to acknowledge. If they can’t help themselves, then we (anyone who is being targeted IRL or online) can protect ourselves by recognizing what’s going on so it loses its power and doesn’t get to us.
