Beautiful scene, however ive realized this couldve also been a way Sony wanted Marvel to have a way out for spiderman in case things didnt go well for further MCU movies at the time.

10/10 so emotional seeing Peter sacrificing his identity to save not only his loved ones, but his entire universe from multiversal collapse. Giving up everything he loves for the greater good, exactly like Peter Parker always does. Tom is such a phenomenal Spidey!
