when asked about how to handle part distribution in a girl group, Taeyeon said: "It’s most peaceful to just leave it entirely to the company. Or, should I appeal? Part distribution is entirely up to the company. I didn't get to sing high notes just because I wanted to."

🧸 about the donation... i did it because i wanted to. rather than talking too much about it or saying this and that, it's just me making a donation because something unfortunate happened before my birthday. i felt heavy, so i wanted to express my condolences. 🧸 it was just something i've done with good intentions, so i hope you can take it as it is. there was no other meaning behind it, it's just something i wanted to do to express my feelings. 🧸 so we had discussions beforehand. i didn't tell the members about it, i just consulted with a small group of staff at the company and brought the idea of making a donation up to my parents. they were really happy about it, that's why i went ahead and did it with conviction.

When I’m planning a trip I usually expect things to go as planned when it comes to the hotel. But what do I do when I get there and it’s nothing like what I expected? Should I stay or complain or should I just leave? Let me know what you do. I ended up just leaving because it wasn’t any cheaper to stay. For me it’s like ordering a high end burger for $30 and getting a $2 burger from McDonald’s for the $30 price. In a world where money walks I let my wallet do the talking and trying to pull the bait and switch on me won’t work.

hobi passed the JYP audition and had an option to go there, but chose Bighit because he trusted his friends. he said, "by that time, I had lived with my friends for over two years. under the circumstance, I was thinking hard about my future. Should I choose another company to debut? Or should I go back to my original company and be with my friends? the answer was very clear. I just trusted my friends. There was something about that place that put my heart at ease. I didn't even care about the company and just went to see my six friends. I went there and I felt like I had found my place. in a way, i think i made the most fateful choice in my life."

I used to think that if things weren’t working, I just needed to work harder in silence. Building in public isn’t just about sharing progress, it’s about admitting when things don’t go as planned. When I launched Onboard, I had a vision of the world I wanted to build. But our users wanted something else, and that was a hard truth to face. I spent months building the wrong thing because I was afraid to share what wasn’t working. I used to think “the struggle” meant failure. Now I see it’s part of the story. 🌱

PCA on contract extension “The money, I don’t quite know how to feel about that part of it. But when I get to leave the field yesterday, and go back to my place and know this is gonna be my routine for the next 6 plus … it’s what I’m most excited about.”

When I first got the opportunity to invest in SpaceX, I told my love to sell everything and go all in w/ me bc this company is going to show the world why it’s the most consequential company of our time. She said I was crazy… but backed me anyway.

Anne Hathaway was such a big fan of The Office that she auditioned for Get Smart (2008) just to work with Steve Carell. “I could hold a straight face when he improvised. I think that’s how I got the part.” “I never expected to get it. I just really wanted to meet Steve Carell.”

🧸 when we first debuted, the company really wanted to push a "prince" image for us. because of that, they wouldn't let me do things like aegyo when we went on variety shows. 🧸 even though i just wanted to give hearts or do a little aegyo for our fans, they intentionally made us avoid those things. 🧸 i couldn't even make heart gestures. the company banned it, so one time i went on a show and i did some aegyo right before the show ended without them knowing 🧸 but i got caught doing that. the company found out and i actually got in trouble for it 🧸 if i tried too hard to be funny or cute, they would just edit all of it out of the broadcast. i really hated to see us getting a reputation as "boring" group right from the start 🧸 because of that, there was this live streaming platform we used at the time. we all just said “hey, this is live, so the company can't stop us" 🧸 and we decided to just do whatever we wanted, and from that point on, it wasn't really that the company changed their minds, it was more like they just gave up on us.

Talkin' about my background! There is a lot more going on there than you might think. I didn't want it to feel lifeless or just like a matte painting. I wanted it to be as much a part of my streams as the model!
