Today, I continued our diplomatic marathon of preparing for the Global Peace Summit. It will bring together many leaders with the goal of implementing the Peace Formula, which can force Russia into a just peace. Today I spoke with the leaders of Romania, Angola, and Iraq. I invited them to the Summit and informed them about the efforts that have already been made to organize it and ensure its successful outcomes. The United Nations Charter brings together all nations, and they are all equally interested in seeing its purposes and principles implemented as a truly effective tool for maintaining peace.

But we don't dream of peace at any cost, because then these three years will be in vain. We are fighting here not only for our land. We are fighting not only for our families. We are fighting not only for our state. The most important thing for us is values. Values pushed us to fight the enemy. The values of freedom, the desire to live in our own country, the values of being human beings, not slaves. In a statement signed by the Media Information Officer Headquarters Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba says, Abu Khalid, identified as the second-in-command of Boko Haram in the Sambisa Forest, was neutralised by troops of Sector 1, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, during an engagement at the Komala area of Konduga Local Government Area at about 11:00 p.m. The operation came barely 24 hours after the elimination of another notorious commander, Julaibib, in the Gujba axis of the Timbuktu Triangle. Abu Khalid was a key figure in the terrorist hierarchy, responsible for coordinating operations and logistics within the Sambisa axis. Items recovered during the operation included five AK-47 rifles, magazines, bicycles, assorted logistics and food items, as well as large quantities of medical supplies. No casualty was recorded among the troops. Clearance operations are ongoing across the Sambisa Forest, Mandara Mountains, Timbuktu Triangle and other terrorist hideouts in the North-East.

Today, I addressed the Peace Formula meeting in Malta, which gathered 66 countries from around the world, both from the West and the Global South. In total, almost 70 global actors have already joined the Peace Formula process. The aspiration for peace is stipulated in international law and the UN Charter. But does the UN Charter work? Here in Ukraine, in the Middle East, and in African countries, the answer to this question is the cries of mothers burying their sons and daughters killed in wars, as well as the despair of children orphaned by wars. We can and must give a different answer. I proposed the Peace Formula last year. Its 10 points cover all aspects of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and are based on the principles of the UN Charter and UNGA resolutions. Over the year, the Formula has gradually become global, with more and more countries and international organizations joining efforts to implement it. The result of these collective actions can be the restoration of the territorial integrity of our state and the full force of international law, thus ensuring a reliable and just peace.

Here in Ukraine, in the Middle East, and in African countries, the answer to this question is the cries of mothers burying their sons and daughters killed in wars, as well as the despair of children orphaned by wars. We can and must give a different answer. I proposed the Peace Formula last year. Its 10 points cover all aspects of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and are based on the principles of the UN Charter and UNGA resolutions. Over the year, the Formula has gradually become global, with more and more countries and international organizations joining efforts to implement it. The result of these collective actions can be the restoration of the territorial integrity of our state and the full force of international law, thus ensuring a reliable and just peace.
