Squaring The Face Controlling your golf ball is all about managing the club face. Understanding the how the arms will influence the club face is key. The lead arm will have some internal rotation in the backswing, therefore we will need to add external rotation to this arm through the release. If we fail to do this, we will leave the face open and often bring in more chicken wing/scoop patterns through contact. Learning to externally rotate the lead arm will help you keep a flat lead wrist and deliver a stronger loft. If you’re a player who tends to slice or fade the ball, this concept will help you to feel what you need to square it up. I just posted the full version of this lesson on the ProShopApp!!! Here is a simple way to achieve the perfect wrist angles at the top of the swing WITHOUT spending any money on training aids! Grab a tee & place it inside the velcro of your glove. The end of the tee should be resting on your wrist. If you "cup or extend" the lead wrist at the top of your swing, you'll feel the tee digging in You want to feel the lead wrist flatten so the tee doesn't dig into the wrist. DON'T hit balls with the tee in the glove. When you are ready to hit a ball, take the tee out to avoid it digging in during the through swing 👊

Do you hit your ball to the right all the time? It could be because you have excessive cupping in the lead wrist which causes the face to open To fix this, put a tee in your glove and avoid stabbing yourself with it. Flex the lead wrist as a feel & that will help flatten out the lead wrist & square the face Try this out next time you are at the range 👊

This crash, quickly spikes force under the lead foot We can use this to speed up our body rotation, and get more energy to the club Also exaggerating a some more wrist cock in transition, I tend to release my wrist angles very early It can be really interesting how easy you can hit certain speeds without really trying sometimes 125 is pretty good for me, and I didn’t really “try” to hit it hard until the late downswing I was going a bit slower than usual in the backswing and transition to try and incorporate the technique moves I am working on Are you planning to work on speed this off season? Are you working on it currently? What are you doing, and how is it going? Fingers crossed for 130+ tomorrow for me.

A flexed (bowed) lead wrist is a swing style. It only suits a few, we only see it on a few. Within it there are different club face positions too with DJ and Rham opposite ends of the spectrum. It requires precise and intricate match-ups. I’m see most people who try it, get the club behind them to early or “react” to the face not “match up”. Many internet-gurus would have you believe that all you need to do is flex your wrist, shift and spin and you’ll be amazing. For the majority that’s totally not the case. Swing your own swing and don’t follow fashion. Golf historically has trends (drive your knees-Nicklaus’s, Stack n tilt etc). All have merit but they are not the only way to do it and often don’t work for the majority. Swing your own swing and don’t follow the sheep. 🐑

With the signing of Šeško, I can see these types of passes becoming more common. Amorim commits bodies to the build-up to create space in behind , like with Gyökeres at Sporting. These channel balls are well-drilled patterns to get up the pitch. Expect to see more of it.

Cuffed Single Arm Cable Lateral Raises These are a contender for BEST Side Delt exercise known to man and here are some tips to help you ensure your reps look PERFECT: - Set pulley at wrist height - Brace against the cable tower with your non working arm - Drive your wrist up and out in an arc-like motion (this is KEY) - Keep palm parallel to the floor - Stop when you upper arm is in line with your shoulder - Lower the weight under control until your wrist is at your side starting to drift toward the midline of your body There you have it, folks!

As we start our movement towards the target, it’s important we don’t go into hip extension too early (Early Extension). There should be a phase where we get back into flexion, before extending to the target.
