Squaring The Face Controlling your golf ball is all about managing the club face. Understanding the how the arms will influence the club face is key. The lead arm will have some internal rotation in the backswing, therefore we will need to add external rotation to this arm through the release. If we fail to do this, we will leave the face open and often bring in more chicken wing/scoop patterns through contact. Learning to externally rotate the lead arm will help you keep a flat lead wrist and deliver a stronger loft. Here is a simple way to achieve the perfect wrist angles at the top of the swing WITHOUT spending any money on training aids! Grab a tee & place it inside the velcro of your glove. The end of the tee should be resting on your wrist. If you "cup or extend" the lead wrist at the top of your swing, you'll feel the tee digging in You want to feel the lead wrist flatten so the tee doesn't dig into the wrist. DON'T hit balls with the tee in the glove. When you are ready to hit a ball, take the tee out to avoid it digging in during the through swing 👊

This crash, quickly spikes force under the lead foot We can use this to speed up our body rotation, and get more energy to the club Also exaggerating a some more wrist cock in transition, I tend to release my wrist angles very early It can be really interesting how easy you can hit certain speeds without really trying sometimes 125 is pretty good for me, and I didn’t really “try” to hit it hard until the late downswing I was going a bit slower than usual in the backswing and transition to try and incorporate the technique moves I am working on Are you planning to work on speed this off season? During the downswing, you want your lead wrist moving TOWARDS flexion (bowing) I will admit, it's a difficult movement to learn, but you do see this with a lot of elite ball strikers Also something to note... This is suited to a neutral/weak grip type. If you have a really strong grip, doing this will excessively close the face, so take that into consideration Work on this at the range & you'll get better at it 👊

Scottie Scheffler was asked ahead of the BMW Championship his thoughts on the new changes coming on the PGA Tour and whether he’d like to see any of the LIV players back. On the incoming changes, he said: “Getting the best players competing against each other more often is what we want as players. I assume, you guys in the media, that’s what you’d want to see. I assume that’s what the fans want as well and I think that’s the direction that we’re heading. “Making things a bit simpler in terms of who’s going to be at what tournament at what time. Golf has always been a difficult game to rank when you’re not playing head to head, and so getting the best players playing head to head more often than not in a proper tournament is, I think, the best way to do things.” He then was asked whether he’d like to see the PGA Tour offering LIV Golf players the same opportunity to return that was given to Brooks Koepka earlier this year: “Yeah, I think, when we talk about the best players, LIV has a few players that are really good. I think, the depth that we have on our tour is unmatched, but when you look at higher levels of LIV Golf there are definitely players that would provide a value to the tour and guys that I love competing against as well. “So I think going forwards there obviously has to be some kind of penalties. What they are, I’ll let Rolapp and all those guys figure it out.
