Same problem. —— This is a conversation I have with almost every hitter. When is the right time for you? - Based on your load style - Based on how long your load takes - Based on the pitcher’s velo, windup, or slide step —— If that’s you, try a “loaded at release” type load. Bobby Witt. Judge. Get your hip and elbow loaded early. Then stride with it ready to fire. “The pitcher is up there for 20 seconds telling you to get ready. Shame on you if you’re not ready to swing.” ____ If I have you in the cage, what I’ll do is have you get into a no stride position, get ready to swing and I stand there for 1-4 seconds… Holding my hand out over the plate ready to snap my fingers. When I snap, you swing. Do that 4-5x. You get the quickness, readiness feeling. Then we go back to stride with moving ball and you’re trying to time up that same GO move with the ball With your foot up in the air and the GO will make the foot go down. Not foot down then swing. I'm trying not to let it get to me too much, but this is something you really have to see in action on an actual 4K screen to understand why I'm unhappy with this. The upscaling method really does high-contrast characters no favors. Look how jittery K.K.'s nose and paws are here.

I’m a fan of Aunty Toyin Abraham but this her unnecessary kneeling down and greeting is becoming too much and looking like an eye service now. It’s ok to respect elders and cultures but those women she keep kneeling for are not so older than her. Aunty Toyin, you need to start packaging yourself now. That’s why they keep disrespecting you. They are not more than you, they are not bigger than you. Stop belittling yourself for them. We Nigerians have forgiven you for supporting City Boy in 2023. Let me get this straight: Meghan markle told Tom Sykes that she had gone to Soho House in Birmingham to relax. She claims she feels too insecure to drive the kids to school but feels okay to leave them alone in a foreign country without security? Relax from what? The kids are supposedly starting school this week, she will have the whole day for herself. 99% of mothers try spending as much time with their kids before they start school. Huge upgrade to loading speeds coming soon, especially with DLL-heavy codebases like UE! The primary reason PDB -> RDI conversion (or PDB parsing in debuggers more generally) is a big bottleneck in startup time is because they must be converted/parsed/loaded _serially_. This may seem surprising, since intuitively it'd seem like they can be converted/parsed/loaded/etc. in parallel. This is not true in the general case due to breakpoints, and how they relate to an API like `LoadLibrary`, and how it translates into debug events. When a debuggee runs `LoadLibrary`, the debugger will receive a debug event informing the debugger that the associated module was loaded. Any time a debug event is sent to the debugger, the debuggee stops running entirely. This is so that the debugger can make decisions about how the debuggee should proceed. For example, if I have a breakpoint on `foo.c:123`, that file name and line number can only be correctly interpreted (meaning resolved into code addresses) using debug information. The debugger only knows about that debug information from the PDB - without it, that file/line combo is meaningless. But importantly, the debugger cannot *resume* the debuggee until it has resolved that breakpoint - otherwise the debuggee may execute code which *would've* hit the breakpoint, *if* it were resolved in time. So, the debugger needs to ensure that all breakpoints are fully resolved before resuming. This is a correctness detail that everyone has to pay for, basically because `LoadLibrary`s are received one-at-a-time. Obviously, if it were instead an API like `LoadLibraries`, then the debugger could prepare all of the debug info in one batch before resuming - but it doesn't know what that batch would be, given just an initial `LoadLibrary`. This is unfortunate, because *generally* you are not debugging the code loading a bunch of DLLs, but the debugger can't really know that. (It is probably a good idea to provide a `raddbg_load_libraries` API at some point, so that we can resolve this issue on the debuggee side). In any case, RADDBG now resolves breakpoints much more quickly by avoiding 99% of debug info conversion work to do a common case of breakpoint resolution - you might call this "breakpoint disqualification". Basically, if a breakpoint is set, and we can quickly determine that that breakpoint's information (file location, expression, condition, etc.) *cannot apply* to some module's debug info - more quickly than doing a *full* PDB -> RDI conversion (which entails a full parse & a bunch of work) - then we can simplify the very common case in DLL-heavy cases: you put a breakpoint on `foo.c:123`, when 99% of the DLLs do not have any line info for that file, so the debugger can resume *knowing* that breakpoint will not resolve within that file. In this demo video, you can see I place a breakpoint that only resolves within the executable's debug info - it does not resolve within any of the 100 DLLs that are loaded serially. Within the `Modules` tab, you can see that as I run the target, most of the debug info is not loaded initially, even though the debuggee is running. That debug info is loading in parallel, as the debugger knows it does not need to wait for that debug info to be prepared for this breakpoint.

I don't want to make too big a deal about this, (would rather just pretend nothing ever happened), but I have to say RASCAL is back to his old self and we are all feelin' good about it. I think spending a little time with his cousin, Jimothy, and getting some mountain time in was just the ticket. These two have a goofy sense of humor sometimes so when Rascal radioed in to say this week's contribution to the 2A community would be a NUBSUB in honor of is little squished cousin, I was not surprised, lol. Qwen 3.8 27B at 56tps; on 9 year old GPU btw Nvidia V100 32GB ~$650 on EBay right now! Using Dflash 2; disabling the ECC adds some more speed too! Thinking and prose is a bit slower, but 56-63 tps in code gen! MTP runs faster for prose vs DFlash2 but slower sustained code generation speed. MTP also runs much faster power limited than DFlash does. Working on a repo so you can get up and going quickly. Fun fact, the Nvidia v100 was $11,500 per card when they first launched. Price you pay for future proofing I guess; they’re still great cards. Pcie 3.0 and the older software/architecture are the only drawbacks, but also those aren’t as much of an issue as you’d think. Especially when you consider the price today!
