I'm laying in my tent reflecting on my life right now..and I have to say, some would say my life situation of being homeless is a sad thing .. because you see people out there who are addicts and in bad situations .. but mine isn't anything like that. Although I havent had a home in 10 years, I see and feel the blessing. I'm so free in life to live how I want in life. Sure while sometimes I desire a bed to come home too.. I get to have a bed anywhere in life I want. I'm so free to live and explore as I please with nothing to tie me down. If I could share any piece of advice, it is simple do not trade your freedom of life for the chains of society and what they deem how YOU should live. I promise in this day and age you can be so free and make money without anyone there to tell you when to clock in, when to eat lunch, when you can use the bathroom, none of that! I hope you all find the bliss I feel in life someday.

WELL I was assaulted by a schizo homeless guy today in Toronto. I was walking to the grocery store when he started stalking me. I tried to get away from him but it didn’t work. He grabbed me, pinned me against a fence, and then tried to break my hand to steal my phone. Three people passing by helped save me. The police were quick and kind, but the officer I spoke with told me this guy had been arrested for attacking people repeatedly in the past month, and “fair warning, a judge will probably let him out by tomorrow morning.” 🫠 lovely system we got goin on here folks

In a world of crazy sport schedules, specialization and constant skill work, often times BASIC physical development is left to the wayside. When working with MS and HS kids, I do my best to work in things that don’t “look like s&c training” on purpose. It’s generally in our warm ups and on top of gaining mobility and working on skills, it’s fun. Yes lifting is important and vital. But so is basic level floor work and “gymnastics” work. Learning to fall, roll, cartwheels, move on the ground not only aid in mobility + reducing injuries but build a SOLID base of movement literacy. The younger we do these things and more often we do them the better. Remember… getting stronger is easier than getting more athletic.

Life update 👀 Today is my last day Webflow. I'm beyond proud of the work I did during my 3 years here, everything from designing & building Webflow University, helping create designs & visuals for our course lessons, making tons of illustrations for our keynotes, contributing to the new logo + rebrand & new designer UI last year, early explorations of AI in the product, and so much more. I truly leveled up my design/dev/illustration skills over the past few years, a big part in thanks to Sara Lundberg & McGuire Brannon constantly pushing me & my work, as well as getting to work along side of some of the most talented people I've ever met. I make my morning commute like most, grind at a desk until 5, then I flip roles to becoming a podcaster, a writer, a coach, a husband, and a dad. Life is moving at warp speed.
