Bill C-22 is being rushed through Parliament without fully addressing how this surveillance framework will affect Canadians, especially those in rural communities. The impacts of this legislation will be felt across rural Canada, where population density, connectivity, and digital infrastructure differ significantly from urban centres. If the President is truly serious about respecting the citizens of this country, then accountability cannot be selective or cosmetic. He must act decisively and remove the Minister of Water and Sanitation, the Premier of Gauteng, the Mayor of Johannesburg, and the Rand Water Board. Question for Mark Carney: If this is not a shadow budget, why move tens of billions into arm’s-length corporations outside direct Parliament scrutiny? If the risk is truly transparent, why are Canadians being told to trust committees your own government controls? And if Karina Gould is supposed to be the symbol of accountability, are you seriously expecting Canadians to forget how Liberal-controlled committees work when the questions get uncomfortable? You snickered. You said “absolutely not.” Then you pointed to the same political machinery Canadians already distrust. The reporter asked whether debt and investment risk could be hidden from the House of Commons. You answered with “trust us.” That is not accountability. That is exactly why people are asking.

The Data (Use and Access) Bill must be stopped. This is not a new piece of legislation, it’s a rebranded version of the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill. Which the Conservative government failed to push through before the general election. Now, Labour are trying again. This bill paves the way for an all-encompassing digital identity system. Despite assurances that digital IDs will be voluntary. The reality is that once these systems are embedded into everyday life, for banking, government services or even supermarket age verification—opting out becomes impossible. The infrastructure for control is being built, and history shows that when governments and corporations gain more access to personal data, they do not give it back. In March 2023, we reported that digital ID's were being implemented under the Digital Information (No. 2) Bill. Now, it is back under a new name, with even broader implications. This bill is not about convenience, it’s about control. But laws like this only succeed when people stay silent. Public pressure can stop this, just as it has stopped other draconian measures in the past. Digital infrastructure is now public infrastructure; we just haven’t started treating it that way. When roads or power grids fail, we fix them collectively. When digital systems fail, we hope private companies step in. This is backwards. If the internet is going to be the foundation of global society, the systems beneath it must be: open, verifiable, resistant to unilateral control, and most of all, accountable to the people who rely on them. The Second Age of Polkadot is about designing digital infrastructure that behaves like infrastructure, not a product owned by a handful of companies.

I'll be clear - One Nation won't support huge changes that have been rushed through Parliament. It's all so the Prime Minister can justify calling everyone back to Canberra early which will cost millions of dollars. Brand new bills have only been published this morning. There are substantial changes to the draft released last week and no one has seen these changes before, including at the Parliamentary inquiry. Where is the leadership? The people deserve to be consulted and informed when big changes to our freedom of expression are being made. We're not getting transparency or accountability from Labor, the Coalition or the Greens.

Under the IndiaAI Mission, the government has launched AIRAWAT, a national AI compute platform, alongside iKosha, India’s national AI data treasury. Together, they give startups, researchers and universities access to high-end AI compute at a fraction of the cost charged by Amazon, Google or Microsoft. For public institutions, researchers and selected early-stage startups, access is heavily subsidised, and in some cases provided entirely free. This is a fundamental shift in how AI infrastructure is being built. On Western cloud platforms, AI compute is priced for multinational corporations with deep pockets. India has chosen a different route. Instead of locking AI behind expensive pay-per-use contracts, it has created shared national infrastructure, where GPUs are pooled and made available at cost. Startups do not need millions in venture capital just to train a model. Researchers are not forced into foreign cloud dependency. Innovation is not restricted to those who can afford Silicon Valley pricing. The rollout of tens of thousands of GPUs, many of them Nvidia, is not about stockpiling hardware. It is about democratising access to compute. India is making it clear that if you are building something useful, locally relevant, or public-facing, you should not be priced out of AI by Big Tech. This is why it matters globally. India is not trying to outspend the United States or China. It is doing something more disruptive: undercutting the cloud monopoly model by making AI infrastructure cheap, shared, and in some cases free. The Zimbabwean Parliament has adjourned until Tuesday, when debate on the controversial Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 will continue. Monday is not a sitting day. The Bill seeks to make significant changes to Zimbabwe’s Constitution and is expected to remain the focus of parliamentary business when proceedings resume. So far, during the debates, not a single ZANUPF Member of Parliament has opposed the Bill. Sadly, some "opposition" Members of Parliament have spoken in support of it. Parliamentarians are now speculating that the Bill could be put to a vote by Thursday or Friday. Democrats have no plan on how to get out of the shutdown that they created. Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries have kowtowed to AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Zohran Mamdani because they are petrified of a primary. They have repeatedly voted not only to shut the government down, but also to not pay our troops and federal workers, even when given the opportunity to. It is shameful. It is wrong. And it should end immediately.
