Why aren’t you highlighting the need for better infrastructure that supports disabled and immunocompromised individuals? This isn’t a hero story. This is the terrible reality of American life, where the government has chosen to ignore basic human needs.

This should be a story about inadequate station maintenance. That’s what needed to be done.

so every person in a wheelchair should phone their dad to come and carry them? it would be a lot easier to ensure the elevator is working properly

wow it's really horrible that this station only had one elevator so disabled people are forced to sacrifice their autonomy and dignity to do basic things like travel on public transportation.

why are you promoting this like this is wholesome? there should be things in place to ensure this never has to happen.
