As ironic as the 6 sided ring was and the identity of TNA, at some point it needed to go away. Fans may have liked it but the wrestlers hated it. You weren’t landing on just a thin piece of wood with canvass over it. It had thick cross beams supporting the ring. It’s why you don’t see any wrestling promotions use it.

I loved this ring. It's what made TNA stand out so greatly from my very first time watching the product on the now former Fox Sports Net. But I've heard how @TheRealXPac complained about the circumference of the ring here shown on more so the hardness it is to take bumps is worse than a traditional pro-wrestling ring.

Even Scott Steiner warned Dixie Carter not to bring them in and what would happen. TNA in the 2010s was going downhill, but luckily by the early 2020s the company was saved.
