I finally managed to try out Cosmic XR from Yoon Park and this is what learning should look and feel like in #XR. All the experience unfolds organically around the user and I never had the feeling of being stuck or the UI hindering the view. The addition of micro-interactions like the thumb-swipe are just the cherry on the cake!

Here at #GoogleIO, I got a look at Project Aura from XREAL 👓 , running Android XR. I'm really excited for this one and I will definitely come back and tell you more soon. In the meantime, though, here is a quick look! Also, IO is a dev show! So gotta say that Android apps can run easily on Android XR, and our Catalyst program has tons of resources for devs to try out the latest tech. Apply for Catalyst here:

Warren Buffett on investing: "You don't have to do anything very smart — you just have to avoid doing things that are ungodly dumb when looked at about a year later. You know, airlines and that sort of thing..." "It is not some great crystal ball game where you look into the future and see all these things that other people can't possibly see. I mean, what's complicated about Coca-Cola or Gillette or Wells Fargo?" (Berkshire Hathaway AGM || 1996)

“I’m a Republican. I am a former Trump voter, but will not be voting for him again. I am a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother, and so when I think about the future...the America that I want them to live in…I just want to have a country that will be safe for them.”

I am thinking unless anybody plans on having lots of kids, why would anyone have one at home. I’m sure there can be plenty of uses for this but I am at a loss at what they would be. I bet this could make a cool hot tub though. This woman has her own area for when she gives birth to babies. Many people are beginning to have this experience at home, preferring a more intimate experience. I couldn’t justify prime real estate like this at the home unless I plan on using it more than once every few years or so. Once she’s done having kids then what happens to this spot? I would convert it to a pet washing station for a dog. I imagine most families have them and this would be quite useful especially if they are muddy. Unless anybody else could think of a use for this, I am sticking with that.

So I tried another McDonald’s hack tonight. It seems like every meat they have on their sandwiches can be purchased à la carte. So I tested this by buying some of the McChicken patties. And it turns out I could, and it’s cheap, only $1.40 for one. This hack unlocks other possibilities like making them at home for a fraction of the price to adding them to other sandwiches that wouldn’t have them. Would you buy a McChicken patty for $1.40 and treat them like big chicken nuggets? I did and it was great.

I am finally "putting pen to paper", so to speak, on my magnum opus Video Essay, "The Untold Midwestern Origins of Speedrunning". I have a script I like, and am working through the editing process now. Enjoy this short content which is a sort of teaser, in the meantime.

Udonis Haslem says KAT trying to find his role playing with Brunson, reminds him of himself when LeBron came to Miami 😅 "As I look at KAT right now, it reminds me of myself and the impact of when you have a great player and the offense changes. When LeBron came and the offense changed, I struggled to find my place. Am I in the right spot? Am I doing this right? Am I in his way? This is the thing KAT is struggling with right now"

Teamed up with Curling Canada to do some content at the PointsBet this week and I figured I should take advantage of so many great young curlers being at the event to have them teach me some slang. I’m cooler now

What does the future look like for Cuba? I talked to Ben Shapiro at The Ben Shapiro Show today about why I don't see democracy immediately but economic reforms and I hope the Trump administration forces a transition because they have a unique opportunity. Some of our conversation ⬇️
