🐹: ENGENE, this moment feels surreal. After going through the past five years wondering, “Can we really make it?”, now that it’s right in front of me, I feel completely dazed. all seven of us have worked so hard and spent so much time together, and when I think about it, none of this would have been possible without ENGENE. 🐹:I truly don’t think we could have made it on our own. So, with a heart full of gratitude toward ENGENE, I will take all the honor and emotions I’ve received and continue to show you our new selves, improved and without holding back. you really make me such a happy person. a moment when MY healed you the most? 🌙 during fansign, a MY came up to me and for no particular reason said "i'm always on aeri's side, no matter what" , "i just really like aeri" and when i heard that, i think i really felt a sense of fulfillment about the work that i do. It also made me think a lot about the fact that people like me and of course i'm grateful but i think that's when i truly realized "this is a really happy moment." like that.

1994 is out.... Actually kind of can't believe I'm writing that 😭! Four years ago when I was working on a building site, I was having panic attacks daily. I had no idea what I was doing with my life. I was absolutely miserable and everything filled me with such dread that I could sometimes barely function... Then a certain song came along and completely flipped my life on it’s head 🏴‍☠️😭 now in 2024 I have just released an album full of songs that I wrote that at the time of writing has nearly 100 million streams already. Not bad!!! I literally could not have done this without 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐏𝐇𝐍𝐗 for a start, these boys have been absolutely incredible, an inspiration to me and an absolute fountain of experience. Thank you to my managers for sticking with me, helping me every step of the way, seeing the vision and trusting the process. Thank you to everyone at the label for giving me the platform and also trusting me and the process of this album. And last but not least, thank you to my beautiful wife for putting up with me and this wild ride that I’ve dragged us on called life. Thank you for raising our incredible little boy while I’m away working all over the world and thank you for being there every step of the way, I Couldn’t have done it without you. And lastly - thanks to YOU guys. The people who have bought the album, streamed the songs, come to the shows or just generally been on this mental ride with me. What did it mean to get Layover out into the world? 🧸Layover came to me at a time when I felt the need to look back on my journey so far as V of BTS. The word "layover" can mean a stop between destinations, but to me, it’s expressing that my life is not a straight path. I want to say: I can make this kind of music, but I also like many other styles. I love jazz, classical music, and even more alternative music, so I wanted to share that with ARMY and our listeners. Is that weird to say? 🐹 I guess they don’t think of me as the eldest. Nor do I act like it. 🐹 But when they act all friendly, calling me brother, and they treat me comfortably, that’s what I like the most. 🐹 I guess the inverse of that is that I don’t like when they get overly casual? 🐹 Like when they slap my butt, for example. I’d say that’s my least favorite part [laughs].

~ About ‘Loser (ft. Yena)’✨ 🐹: Yena joined me on this track. I actually came up with the concept for this one as well. Honestly, other than DSYLM, I created the concepts for all the other songs too. For this song, I tried to be imaginative with it. 🐹: I’ve never dated anyone during my student years so I imagined a lot about what it would feel like if students were in a relationship. 🐹: It also reflects a bit of my own personality to lead to kind of childish arguments. Like, one says 'You think you can live without me?' and the other snaps back,'Well, can you live without me then?' Then the guy says something like I’m good-looking and all… you’ll regret it if you let me go' and the girl’s like 'you would regret it just as much if u let me go!' I wanted to try with this kind of concept. 🐹: When I heard the song, I just felt like Yena would be the perfect fit for it. So I reached out through my company and asked if she’d be interested in working it with me, and thankfully she said yes. That’s how this really wonderful song came to be. 🐹: So, I think this might be the song where my imagination came through the most. I spent my whole life learning the art of songwriting from my mom, an iconic songwriter herself, so when Animal came out, it was a culmination of the sounds of growing up, the sounds of falling in love, heartbreak, the sounds of coming of age, and I had no idea what these songs would open up for me and what kind of life I would be creating for myself just by putting these songs out in the world. I'm so happy I did, and so happy you've connected to it the way that you have, and continue to do so. 15 years later, TiK ToK had its biggest steaming day just a few days ago. Just goes to show that we all go through these same pivotal feelings and emotions growing up. I'm so happy to have grown up with all of you. Happy anniversary Animal.
