IMO the new Onimusha is mainly designed to look effortlessly cool and to give a ton of tools to the player to make the cool factor happen regardless of balance or challenge. It's designed for you to win in style but it gives up on carrying the action design of the old series.

The ranks were Dishonorable, Questionable, Reliable, Honorable, Distinguished, and Irreproachable. Not much gameplay of it has been shown, but here's what it would've looked like.
