BBC later aired their manufactured story with the titles / headers: 🔴"Watch: BBC China reporter pushed away from filming at car attack scene" 🔴"When horror hits China, the first instinct is shut it down" 🔴"The moment BBC China reporter is pushed away from filming at car attack scene" We already knew his colleague, BBC News (World) China correspondent Stephen McDonell (Stephen McDonell) was a bad actor... ...but now it is absolutely clear that BBC World cameraman Edward Lawrence Edward Lawrence, who has since been made redundant by the BBC and will leave China next month, is also an unethical, fake news propagandist. In the following clip, which I only uncovered while wearing headphones and editing my original video – I can guarantee Edward and Stephen didn't realize the audio was broadcast, either! – you can hear Edward egging on Stephen, who is inciting a situation with an aggrieved Chinese man at the scene of a deadly tragedy. As the altercation starts to lose steam, Edward is heard (if you listen VERY carefully) off camera saying: "Keep going Steve! Keep going Steve!" Absolutely disgusting. Following our previous post about Chris Buckler's BBC interview with Tristan Morrow - who spoke about leaving the Orange Order and identifying as a trans woman - we listened to another segment from the same edition of The Stephen Nolan Show. The discussion was about Féile an Phobail's decision to cancel a Women's Rights Network panel event on women's sex-based rights. Overall, it was a much more balanced discussion. Buckler challenged both guests, questioned claims from both sides and pushed back at various points. But several moments stood out. One was a claim by People Before Profit's Fiona Ferguson that organisations like the Women's Rights Network wanted "people's genitals to be checked before they're allowed to go into toilets." Buckler then asked WRN NI's Nora Calder: "Do you want people's genitals checked before they go to the toilet?" When a guest makes a highly contentious factual claim, shouldn't the first question be whether there's evidence to support it? Otherwise, an unsubstantiated allegation risks becoming the premise of the discussion - rather than something to be tested. Ferguson also invoked contested suicide statistics relating to transgender people, which also went unchallenged. But there are broader editorial questions too. Tristan Morrow - a young man who identifies as a woman - was given 21 minutes of airtime, during which his perspective was explored with relatively little challenge. Where is the equivalent long-form interview with a woman explaining why single-sex spaces matter to her? Or with someone who says they have suffered discrimination because of their lawful gender-critical beliefs? The BBC also chose to publish Morrow's interview separately on BBC Sounds as a standalone programme, giving further prominence to one side's personal testimony. And prior to introducing this segment Buckler reflected on the response to the interview with Tristan Morrow saying he'd received "lovely messages" from listeners. There is, of course, nothing wrong with telling his story. And due impartiality doesn't require every viewpoint to receive equal airtime. But it does require careful editorial judgement about which voices are amplified, how contested claims are handled, and whose experiences audiences are invited to understand. Taken together, this coverage raises legitimate questions about whether that standard was met. 🎧 We've shared a short clip here. When it came to Prince William, he decided to have an introduction to Wales that was more seamless and Less royal in nature. Indeed, William's first introduction to Wales was not as Prince of Wales, Prince William arrived in Wales in 2010, as a working member of the RAF SAR military community there to serve those around him🔥 It is a tremedous distinction that helped his seamless adoption and popularity in Wales. It was there that he risked his life piloting high risks missions along his teammates to serve and save 149 lives off the Welsh coast❤️‍🩹 Welsh historian, Prof Merfyn Jones weighed on the topic in a BBC article years ago saying: "Clearly the Royal Family were not going to repeat these difficult times with William; and so his introduction to Wales was very, very different, working from RAF Valley as a helicopter pilot, living locally," "People did bump into him in the supermarkets and so on, it was a very, very different experience [to Charles' time at Aberystwyth]."🔥 The professor added: "One has to conclude to some extent at least this was a deliberate way of William getting to know Wales and for Wales to get to know him but in a very low-key way, in a very relaxed sort of manner." "And it appears that it has been remarkably successful, both locally in Anglesey and more generally in the response of the British public to William, who is clearly extremely popular with the people of Britain."🤩 Indeed, it is quite remarkable how, for someone as reserved and private as Prince William is, he has a natural way to put people at ease and genuinely connect with all he meets. Before Fela Kuti, There was Fela Sowande, The Father of Nigerian Classical Music. Chief Olufela Obafunmilayo "Fela" Sowande MBE (29 May 1905 – 13 March 1987) was a Nigerian musician and composer. Considered the father of modern Nigerian art music, Sowande is perhaps the most internationally known African composer of works in the European "classical" idiom. Sowande was born 29 May 1905 in Abeokuta, near Lagos, the son of Emmanuel Sowande, a priest and pioneer of Nigerian church music. As a child he sang in the Choir of the Cathedral Church of Christ. He studied at the C.M.S. Grammar School and at King's College, Lagos. The influence of his father and Dr. T. K. Ekundayo Phillips (composer, organist and choirmaster) was an important factor in his early years. Through Phillips, Sowande was first exposed to European church music like Bach and Rheinberger. At that time, Sowande was a chorister and was introduced to new Yoruba works being introduced into the churches. Under Phillips' tutelage, Sowande earned the Fellowship Diploma (FRCO) from the Royal College of Organists. At that time, he was also a bandleader, playing jazz and popular highlife music In 1934, Sowande went to London to study European classical and popular music. In 1936, he was solo pianist in a performance of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. He also played as part of a pianist duo with Fats Waller, was theatre organist for the BBC, Choirmaster at Kingsway Hall and pianist in the 1936 production of Blackbirds. In 1939, he played the organ on recordings by popular singers Adelaide Hall and Vera Lynn. Later, he studied organ privately under Edmund Rubbra, George Oldroyd, and George Cunningham and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists in 1943, winning the Limpus, Harding and Read Prizes. He obtained a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of London and became a Fellow of Trinity College of Music. During the Second World War, he worked as musical advisor for the Colonial Film Unit of the Ministry of Information mainly providing background music for educational films, and lectured on music for the BBC Africa Service. From 1945 until 1952, he was organist and choirmaster at the West London Mission of the Methodist Church. During this time, he also became known as a dance pianist, bandleader, and Hammond organist, playing popular tunes of the day. He went back to Nigeria to scholarly work with the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation and later the University of Ibadan. In 1952 Sowande became musical director of the Nigerian Broadcasting Service; in the 1955 Queen's Birthday Honours he was appointed MBE for this work. Sowande was one of the six judges who selected the Nigerian National Anthem in 1960. In 1962 he travelled to the United States on a Rockefeller Foundation fellowship. In 1968, he moved to Howard University in Washington, D.C., then to the University of Pittsburgh. He was a Musical King in Africa.

A party leader shares a call for a man’s beheading, deletes it only when it trends, won’t apologise, and so far faces nothing. Both posts called for violence. Only one person went to prison. Same country. Two rules. So what is he, this man who won't say one word? It's ARROGANCE. The belief he sits above the accountability demanded of everyone else. It's COWARDICE, and he admitted it. He won't apologise because it would cost him. Fear wearing a suit. It's CONTEMPT. For you, the public, the murdered. That you'll just forget. It's NARCISSISM. He shares the blade, then rewrites the story until HE is the wounded one and underneath it all, SHAMELESSNESS. A person with shame apologises. He feels none. Not brave. Not principled. On 21 February 2020, CCTV cameras at the entrance to our home in Cowdray Park, Bulawayo, captured two men getting out of a vehicle that had followed my father home. One of the men's faces was clearly captured on camera before they left the area. The matter was immediately reported to CID Homicide in Bulawayo, and the CCTV footage was handed over to investigators. Less than two weeks later, on 6 March 2020, my father was ambushed at Kumalo Continental Lodge. Witnesses said more than six armed robbers approached him. During the attack, one of the suspects shot him before the gang stole about US$80,000 and R20,000 in cash, his pistol, and two cellphones. On the same day, we again approached the police and reminded them about the CCTV footage that had been reported in February. We gave investigators every detail we had, hoping it would help identify the suspects. We prayed, we waited, and we believed justice would be served. But today, years later, nothing has happened. We have received no meaningful updates, no one has been held accountable, and our family is still waiting for justice. We are appealing to Crime Watch and members of the public to help us share the CCTV footage and the photograph of the suspect. Through our own investigations, one of the names that has come up is Dingani. If anyone has information that could assist the investigation, please come forward and report it to the police.
