When our engineers examined MK Trilogy's code, they found areas where loading time could be optimized, so we did that! In the original game, there would often be a lengthy pause whenever Shang Tsung morphed into a different character; now it's instant, thanks to our code tweaks.

This is exclusive to MKLK!

You just need to add all the missing stages (EX: Shang Tsung Throne Room and Palace Gates) and add the original music in some stages from Mortal Kombat Trilogy and it will be perfect.

What other optimizations or even bug fixes were done to trilogy? Any fixes for umk3, like the game resetting if you do scorpion's pack fatality on the subway?

The loading times were one of the biggest reasons I preferred the N64 version. Glad you guys fixed it

Will MK Legacy Kollection have virtual Move list bezels for every fighting game?

Will you be able to fight against Shang Tsung in the arcade ladder of MK Trilogy? You would never fight Shang Tsung in the PS1 version due to the load times for the morphs

Would have been cool if you could add Khameleon

This clip alone brought me back to all the times I’d go to my cousins house to play MK3 as a kid, he had a lazy eye so his favorite character was Kano….this also made me miss his parents. RIP Aunt Marsha & Uncle Harry.

Can’t wait for this to come out in a few weeks. I know it might be late now, but in the future can you possibly add an option for MKT to play the music at the proper pitch ? This always annoyed me when playing the PS1 and Saturn Version as a kid.

Lo único que voy a entrañar en #MKLK son las versiones MS-DOS. Ojalá las colocaran como DLC 🙏🏻.

Good now backport the improvements to the Saturn and N64 (with the help of the 4M RAM carts) and reprint it for those platforms.

Why not use the PC version of MKT to make this port ?

Could you add new characters if the community provided the sprites? 👀👀

Remove glitch jabs or is this not possible? It would be so awesome to see these games be competitive without that crap and that would exist nowhere else but potentially in this Kollection.

I wish you could take the Ultimate MK3 arcade code and use that as a base to recreate Trilogy as if there were an arcade version

That’s very cool how you guys are able to go in and do stuff like this. I enjoyed the enhancements you made in the TMNT one and can’t wait to dive in to this one in a couple more weeks.

Fantastic. I was going to ask this yesterday, and you made it clear today. PS1 version was bad for this reason (IMO), so when you announced it was going to be that over N64, I had to wonder if they fixed the morph loading.

AI is changing the software engineering craft. Anders Hejlsberg (Anders Hejlsberg) - creator of C#, TypeScript and industry legend - on why code review needs to get more enjoyable in response: #1 - AI is shifting the craft from writing code, to reviewing code: "In a sense, we're all turning into project managers. We can have an army of junior programmers, called agents, that will just spit out reams of code but someone's got to have the big picture and review all of that. And so, increasingly, our craft is going from one of writing the code, to one of reviewing the code and building the architecture of the code and overseeing the work. It's a different kind of craft. It's a different kind of enjoyment. I've always liked writing the code. To me that was the fulfilling part, seeing it work. In a way, AI robs a little bit of that, because I am less interested in reviewing code." #2 - The code review experience should be improved: "I think we could also make the process of reviewing code much more interesting than it is today. I mean, today, you see a list of diffs in alphabetical order and now it's up to you to make heads or tails of it. There are more pedagogical ways of presenting that. And you could have commentary generated by the AI that tells you what the changes are and whatever, and then tries to guide you along. So that symbiotic relationship, I think we need to work on that more and to keep the enjoyment in there."
