I dey vex as I dey see all these posters. When will people.whonare responsible for keeping their workers safe and healthy on the job face the consequences? Leave all the players and fliers. When will the organisation face the law ?

Corporations and their fucktard ways of celebrating nonsense. Why didn’t that building have proper BCP to evacuate people quickly during an emergency? I won’t be surprise if you go there one year after to realize that nothing has improved.

Opeyemi is my friend’s sister, met her when we all travelled from Lagos to Ibadan on the train. We sat together through the journey and talked largely about her role at united capital as an intern, and her undergraduate years in uni. This was during her Nysc, and we were all quite happy she got retained at united capital post-nysc. Opeyemi was a very brilliant person, with great aspirations. Hakeem (her brother) spoke so highly of her. It’s sad to have to be talking about her like this rn, can’t even comprehend the amount of pain and grief the family must be going through. I just really hope whatever happened that day, it wasn’t a painful experience for her. This is not the ending we wish for, but I pray that God grants her a peaceful eternal rest 🕊️

Were they celebrated this way when they were alive? RIP. A promising future was smashed by management's negligence. So sad.

Just like Wigwe's death, these deaths hurt greatly. A friend and a former colleague works here, I called him yesterday, in his words "Kalu, it could have been anybody". I haven't recovered from the heaviness in his voice.

This is heartbreaking Incidents like this happen too often, yet no investigations, no forensic audits, no arrests, no court cases. Nothing. It just dies down until the next tragedy. The silence, the lack of accountability… it’s crushing. God, this is truly sad.

This is making my blood boil.. So people died that day? And nobody has filed a negligence lawsuit against the property owners? Mothers, daughters a son just went like that while doing their job.

Nigeria my country! This is a big reason I will always advise any struggling Nigerian youth(If they can afford it) to japa no matter the amount you make in Nigeria. If this happened in a developed country, that might be the end of all the companies involved. They would be greatly fined that it might lead to them going into a state of insolvency, but trust me, nobody would be taggged responsible for this! Human life is as cheap as pure water. No excuse! Employers are responsible for the health and safety of their employees at work!
