Growing up with Serie A at its peak was a beautiful time

Lazio's squad that time was phenomenal 🔥 not to mention that the head coach was Zoff

Serie A was the only super league that ever existed before the oil money ruined football forever. The players that graced that league through the 80's, 90's and early 2000's is something the PL can only dream of

There were many good teams in Serie A. But in those years Lazio was something else. Truly a phenomenal squad.

Legends, everywhere. No league, I repeat, no league has made such impact with so much gifted and skillful players, as Italian Serie A. Only the brave and strong could survive it.

I miss this era of football. Lazio was really great at the time

Channel 4 on a Sunday afternoon, James Richardson outside a cafe with an espresso and a pink Gazzetta. Every giant had its trio of foreign stars and half the best players on earth were in one league. Nothing since has come close to that aura.

That's the Serie A I grew up supporting Legends on both ends.

In the 90's Serie A was the BEST League in the World

How many world champions ? Ballon d'ors, great managers and FUTUR great mamagers...dude even the REF was legendary !!!

Serie A fell from its 1990s peak due to reasons like Calciopoli match-fixing scandal, poor TV rights, and old stadium ownership models. These starved Italian clubs of the revenue needed to match leagues like Premier League. Stars started leaving for greener pastures afterwards

All the world best stars were in Serie A from 1990-2000 to the best of my knowledge

Serie A still rules the world. If you like football, that is.

From memory only 3 overseas players can be on the field. Good blend of overseas superstars and home grown.

Until Sky came along with the cash and stole the soul of the game.
