When the cast of Madame Web was asked about the source material, only Sydney Sweeney had actually read the comics. The film bombed, critics piled on, audiences checked out, and the one person who did the homework ended up in the middle of it. Sweeney later distanced herself from...

Sometimes the customer wakes up in the wrong side of the bed and takes it out on me. This man went to order a coffee at his local McDonald’s and when I tried to see where the worker was rude, I only saw the customer being impatient and rude yet for whatever reason the customer thinks it’s the worker’s fault. How do you feel with the grumpy people? I have a feeling he’s not a morning person. On many occasions I dealt with the rudest people. This woman called into the pizza shop with a horrible attitude, it confused me because the way she was talking I would have thought I knew her and did her wrong before. But that wasn’t the case she was just being a jerk for no reason. She starts off the interaction with unreasonable demands. It was already 10 mins till closing and she asks if I had any mess up orders that I made wrong or customers just didn’t pick up. I tells her no, then she asked if she could get a cheese pizza slice but wanted it fresh out the oven. I told her all the slices we had were made within a half hour and if she wanted a fresh cheese slice I would have to make a whole cheese pizza and charge her accordingly since she would be my last customer of the day and that I would have to end up throwing it away. She said if that’s the case let her buy a slice and expected me to give her the whole pizza for $3. I declined once again and told her I couldn’t do that because I was done making pizza for the day anyways I would never make a fresh pie at the end of the night. No matter how much she argued I told her that whatever slices I still had was all I could offer. However if she wanted a whole pizza I could do that. She argued for another 2 minutes and gave up, deciding to get a pepperoni slice and I hurried up and heated it and have it to get. Then I told her we were closing and kindly asked her to leave. She ended up calling the next day complaining about her slice of pizza and how rude the worker was which was me, she just didn’t know it. I told her I would have done the same and after she argued again she just hung up. She was arguing in hopes I would have gave it to her for free but this isn’t my first rodeo.

Diane Lane was 18 years old, sitting across from Johnny Carson, and she handled the whole thing better than he did She was there to promote Rumble Fish, her second film for Francis Ford Coppola. Carson opened by asking why she had kissed the previous guest and not him. "He's just a very attractive man," she said. "Well, I suppose he is more the grandfatherly type," Carson answered, then turned it into a bit for the audience about too much sexual attraction going on between them. She let it pass and went straight to the work. On the title: "rumblefish is sort of a slang name for Siamese fighting fish, which is symbolic of a relationship that goes on in the film between Matt Dillon and Mickey Rourke." Then, almost in passing: "It's the second film I did for Coppola." And: "I'm doing a third one now as soon as I get done." She had just finished high school without attending the ceremony. Quintano School for Young Professionals. "Got my ring. Got it in the mail." The reason she was not there in person: "this is the 5-month anniversary date of the start of the film Streets of Fire." Five months on one production, at 18, with a Coppola film about to open and another one queued up behind it. She had been working since she was six. Carson asked what she did for her 18th birthday. "I did my laundry, actually." He waited for the punchline. There was not one. There was a reason. She explained that a surprise party had been thrown for her two years earlier, and that "it was a fiasco for me because I had to play hostess to a bunch of people I did not know and it was like a burden, you know?" So she made a decision about the next one: "I said, this one is going to be just another day in the life of, and I went out and I did my laundry." An 18-year-old actress, five months into a shoot, opting out of her own celebration because the last one made her responsible for entertaining strangers. Then Carson asked whether her parents were entertainers. He fumbled the question twice and had to rephrase it. Her answer: "My mother was a Playmate of the Month, October '57. I'm very proud of her for that." Carson asked if she realised it at the time. Lane: "Well, I was not even an idea at that point." He did the arithmetic out loud, 18 and '57, noted that her mother had been 19, and asked Lane directly whether she would do something like that. "No." He asked why not. "Well, because you have to reveal quite a bit more at this point. That's one good reason. There's many other good reasons why I would choose not to do that. I don't have to." And then the line that closes the whole exchange: "Mom wanted to get a lot of exposure and she did." Source: The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson

This woman is being accused of being rude by the worker, to me I think the worker was rude. She’s trying to return something without the packaging and was denied without it. So she went and bought another one and used that packaging to return the old one. She always had the receipt she just didn’t have the package. Either way she’s left with another item she didn’t need or return. I recall when I was at the pizza shop and a customer gave us the wrong address by mistake. She was babysitting and wanted pizza delivered to the customers house instead. I get a call from our driver saying he couldn’t find it, so I call her back and said that the driver couldn’t find the address, it didn’t even exist on gps. She argues with me how the home has been there for over 80 years and that my driver was too stupid to find it. I couldn’t find it on my Apple Maps either and asked her to double check the address. She told us the house number was 869 and it was actually 896. So after that I call my driver and he delivers it. Not even 5 minutes later she calls back complaining her food was cold. I told her it’s cold likely because the driver took a long time trying to find an address that didn’t exist. So once again she gets all belligerent. I refused to remake it or refund it based on her mistake and she claims I just lost a life long customer. Was I wrong for that, would you have remade it? Maybe I would have as a courtesy if she was cool about it but she wasn’t especially since it was her mistake. I usually don’t do anything unless we messed up.

🚨UPDATE: Trial hears Sir Jeffrey Donaldson wrote letter to alleged victim expressing regret and saying he had sought God’s forgiveness 🎤Chief Reporter James from Newry Crown Court. The woman, known as Complainant A, told the court that she had thought the letter was an attempt by the former DUP leader “to apologise for perhaps the abuse which had occurred”. Under cross-examination by Donaldson’s barrister, the woman later told the trial that she had been sexually abused by another man when she was a child. Appearing on a videolink, Complainant A, was asked questions by prosecuting barrister Rosemary Walsh KC. Ms Walsh read out a letter which Complainant A said had been written to her by Jeffrey Donaldson in June 2020. In the letter, Donaldson expressed “how much I truly regret all the hurt, pain and distressed I have caused”. It added: “I wish I could find the right words to adequately express just how sorry I am for all of this… I take full responsibility for it all.” It also said he had sought help and forgiveness from God. Ms Walsh asked Complainant A what she believed the letter to be about. She responded: “I felt he was trying to apologise for perhaps the abuse which had occurred, but he didn’t want to say that formally in writing. “It felt like an apology letter and it felt like it was written with a lot of guilt.” Evidence in the trial began earlier with the video of a police interview with Complainant A from March 2024, weeks before the Donaldsons were arrested, being played to the jury of seven men and five women. In the interview, the complainant said she had been of primary school age when Donaldson was “physical” with her. She recalled waking up in the middle of the night on several occasions with a sexual feeling. She said she later started to have nightmares about “adult men doing horrible things to children”. She said from primary school age, Donaldson had put his hand up her top – and this “happened for quite a while”. In her interview, she said Donaldson made comments about the size of her breasts as she got older. She said she remembered a “significant event” when she was a young teenager when Donaldson “perched” over the top of her, holding a light and had looked at her “private parts”. After lunch Complainant A was questioned by Donaldson’s barrister Kieran Vaughan KC. The barrister asked her about an incident when she was sexually abused by another man when she was of primary school age. She said: “That is correct. To my knowledge it was one incident.” Asked why she had not told this abuse to police when she had reported alleged abuse by Donaldson, she said she saw it as the “lesser of two evils”. Mr Vaughan pointed out in her police interview about the alleged Donaldson abuse that she had said events were “very unclear” and that she had used the words ‘I think’ about what she claimed had happened. Complainant A said she had “great clarity” about some events while others were “foggy”. Mr Donaldson has pleaded not guilty to the 18 alleged offences. Mr Donaldson’s wife Lady Eleanor Donaldson, denies several charges of aiding and abetting. She is facing a trial of the facts after Judge Paul Ramsey ruled her unfit to stand trial on mental health grounds.
