I think the point shouldn't be that we're hypocrites, but rather that we're finally adopting the tactics that work for the left. If the police refuse to do anything about Just Stop Oil blocking roads or Antifa wearing masks, why can't we?

Agree. The argument isn’t “two wrongs make a right.” It’s that rules only work if they’re applied to everyone. If masks and disruption are tolerated for some groups, you can’t credibly treat the same tactics as uniquely sinister when others use them. Either enforce the law evenly or stop pretending the distinction is about public order.

@ossien1 Either way what’s good for one is good for the other. If they want to ban face coverings they must do that universally to include the burqa/niqab and I can’t see that happening. People should protect themselves from facial recognition software they didn’t consent to.
