When Wayne Manor burns down in Batman Begins (2005), it wasn't CGI. The crew built a massive 1/3 scale model and full-size sets, then actually set them on fire. Nolan wanted the crumbling architecture to look 100% realistic.

Christian Bale who normally weighed around 80kg, had to reduce his weight to 54kg for his role in "The Machinist" (2004). He had to increase his weight to play Batman in "Batman Begins" (2005). To increase his weight, He was lifting really heavy weights and just stuffing so much into his mouth. His body was under so much pressure that he could feel it. To fill out his Batman suit, Bale stuffed himself with food and when he was not eating, he was in the gym. His doctor said to him, 'You are going nuts. You have to slow down'." But when he arrived on the set of 'Batman Begins', he was 100kg, well overweight. According to Bale, Nolan had no idea who Bale was when he arrived to the set with his long hair. "When Nolan got close he was like 'Holy f... You look like Grizzly Adams. What's going on?'" Nolan then asked him to get a little leaner. Lego just revealed the sixth and largest Technic set in the Ultimate Car Concept Series: the Lego Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear. The 1:8-scale set contains 4104 pieces and will cost $449.99 when it goes on sale this July. Lego also built a full-size Sadair's Spear that was driven at the Goodwood Hill by Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh, who set a speed record for a Technic car.

To fake this in the 1920s, the crew built a hidden iron platform in the studio to hold the actors, using massive fans to blow their capes and billowing glass wool to create the surrounding clouds. They then used double exposure to layer the actors over a moving, miniature model city, making it look like they were actually soaring over the mountains and rooftops.

Batman has barely scratched the surface of that mythology because the Robin part is so fucking weird and inappropriate. It's hard to justify a grown ass man taking a 14-year old boy and turning him into brightly colored partner in tights. Chris Nolan literally hits a wall when he introduces an older Robin, but it still breaks his dead serious algorithm and Nolan quits the franchise. Joel Schumacher, the gayest franchise director that ever lived, couldn't help himself when he finally got to play with the homoeroticism of Batman and Robin and slapped nipples on them. If you can get around the child labor laws and overall bad parenting of Bruce Wayne, there are very interesting stories to be told about that relationship, specifically Jason Todd's death and then resurrection as a villain. But ultimately 1960s Batman probably got it right. Robin is just such a ludicrous character, once engaged, he changes the tone and better to laugh than get weirded out.

During the No Mercy 2005 Handicap Casket Match, Orton's character was supposed to pour kerosene over The Undertaker's casket and set it on fire. In hindsight, Orton admitted he got so caught up in the moment that he accidentally splashed kerosene all over his own boots and legs. When he lit the casket, he realized he was standing in the flammable liquid and had to quickly jump back to avoid igniting himself. He later joked that he "almost lit himself on fire" because he wasn't thinking about his own safety in the heat of the moment. WWE had fire safety personnel and extinguishers ready in case anything went wrong.
