It’s not THAT the river is flowing, it’s WHAT the river is flowing. A 1 ton tree slamming and throwing your body under the water will kill you.

I did exactly this on a Lake in S. Carolina when a crazy storm rolled in. I ignored the sirens because I was 30-something and still invincible. I had a blast and survived but another guy who was being the same kind of reckless fell off his ski and it smashed his head when he was trying to get back on and he was lost in the waves. I didn't know him. His body was found the next day. I recommend against such shenanigans very strongly. I got super lucky. This guy used up 3 or 4 of his lives on this.
