Trophy Kiprono has done very well to debunk myths and misconceptions about the Kalenjin which most people don't know. And by the way even in Kalenjin there is in'fighting' among the sub tribes, just like others do,but at the end of the day wote ni Kalenjin s tu bado and they love n support each other. Also there are some Kalenjin subtribes when they speak you wont understand it ,their lingo is abit complex, also there are some Kalenjin tribes whose men have the Chep name, so not all Chep names are for girls. Just like shes called kiprono n shes a lady,not all kip names are for boy child. Im glad shes educating people more

But I do know this when we lose faith in each other, when we stop believing that voting matters… we open the door to the most ruthless or the most careless, or the most fearful among us who see some groups and some people as more equal than others and see government as nothing more than a way to divvy up the spoils and punish enemies, and keep those who are different in their place. I do not believe that is the story of America that prevails in the end.

Deranged Democrats are openly encouraging others to assassinate President Trump—one even went as far as saying that if she were in the same room with him, she would “take one for the team.” And these are the same people who constantly lecture us about empathy and compassion. I’d say let’s make them famous so they lose their jobs or become unemployable—but let’s be honest, most of them probably don’t have jobs or any intention of working in the first place.

The NUP political grouping has in the recent past adopted an increasingly militant and aggressive posture. The leaders and supporters are engaging in highly divisive hate speech and incitement to violence. This approach is reckless and misguided adventurism, and the party would be well served to abandon that incendiary path. The Great Lakes is one of the most volatile regions in the world, with hundreds of armed violent pseudo political organizations clamoring for power and influence. Uganda acts as a key frontline state to keep many of these violent groups at bay, some of which are terrorist in nature. As one of the most experienced and vigilant counter insurgency force in the world, the UPDF and sister security services are watching the NUP development very closely, and will not hesitate to take decisive countermeasures as appropriate. We strongly recommend that legitimate grievances against the state are addressed through the relevant authorities, such as the courts of law, among others. Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF)

When a nation is devoid of innovative ideas, it often turns to religion or ethnicity as a means of maintaining control. Leaders should be deeply concerned about the growing discontent of a patient population. History has shown that when frustrations are left unchecked, even the smallest spark can ignite a blaze of unrest, with consequences that are both unpredictable and far-reaching. Revolution, after all, is the voice of the unheard, and Uganda is not immune to this reality. We must navigate these turbulent waters with urgency before the tide rises beyond our control. If we wait until the crisis reaches our necks, we will all drown together. Somehow, memories are short and selective. When a nation is headed towards it's destruction, even when God reasons with the leaders,they think God mad. #Coffeebill

The Ugandan prison system beats all the logic of a prison system elsewhere. As many prisoners in neighboring countries or even in Europe never leave their cells & wards, Uganda prisons is unique that these guys have freedom inside prison to play music and shake up a bit, play soccer, attain artisanal skills, continue with the normal education curriculum system and others. Johnson Byabashaija How do you do it. Anyway, With the copyright law now in place, who does Sir YKEE BENDA demand his money from here, the prison system or the prisoners 😂😂

Have you not seen or heard the NUP supremo Mr Kyagulanyi, and his lieutenants the Luttamuguzi’s, and the Namboze’s, among others on several occasions, urging their supporters to take on the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) and Uganda Police Force ? The kind of rhetoric designed to mislead unsuspecting young Ugandans into violent confrontations with the security forces? The Daily Monitor has been writing that there is no evidence of NUP leaders inciting violence or an insurrection. Really? Is this how votes are protected? What is the Nation Media Group trying to achieve here? The security forces condemn the calls to violence by some political actors and appeal to Ugandans to reject them. We also appeal to citizens to adhere to Article 17 of the Constitution of Uganda.

My understanding is that the Dulgarian controversy is not an isolated incident. I’ve spoken to multiple people who have either experienced or know of others who have been approached about their willingness to do something like this. Essentially: “Are you interested in throwing a fight for X amount of dollars?” This is a massive issue for the UFC. And when you consider the questionable refereeing as of late, you can’t help but wonder if there are integrity issues there as well.

Woow!! Honestly, we did not expect this because we never set out to make an award winning film, no! We just wanted to document our story, a story of the people of Uganda fighting for freedom and democracy. We are just humbled that our story has received or has come to this level of international recognition. With this award and the attention that comes with it, we believe that we are going to be a little bit safer now because we know that the world is watching what is happening in Uganda. Ladies and gentlemen, my wife and I are not the real heroes in this film, no. The true heroes are the hundreds of men, women, and children who have paid the ultimate price in our struggle for freedom in Uganda. Those that are lying in unmarked graves scattered over the country, the political prisoners, and those that are missing. Those are the true heroes. We salute them!! I want to dedicate this award to my friend and neighbour, John Bosco Kibalama, and dozens of others that were arrested and taken away by the security forces and they've never been seen again. We honour you, we miss you, and we will never stop demanding for your freedom and return, dead or alive. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen.

These are people content with their status as natives in some colony, state, or bantustan, and there's no point in arguing or complaining about it, that's just the way it is. In New Orleans, facial recognition is being used to monitor everyday people and compare them with wanted suspects or people around crime scenes. Not only are cameras in New Orleans being used to identify people with facial recognition, meaning that they're scanning people 24/7. You walk around, your face is being scanned. Not only is that the problem, but also this facial recognition system that the New Orleans Police Department is using and is actually pinging police officers phones as it scans and recognizes people that are either wanted or committed a crime or are a suspect of doing something worth monitoring and worth being notified about. I don't know about you, but as somebody who cares about my privacy, my security, this whole new world of facial recognition, biometric scanning, all of this stuff, it seems to be going a little bit too far. We already know facial recognition struggles to really identify people, especially people of color. So know that these, these technologies are very new. There's going to be a lot of nuances and a lot of people are not informed. If you are in New Orleans or you're around any major city, you better assume that this technology is being used against you.
