I really liked this. Would you say this applies to all forms of art and not just painting/drawing? I feel like the answer is yes but just wanted to clarify as I want to be a writer.

One way I've looked at my ability to draw is that even though I'm not at the point of art skill I've always dreamed, I have continued to surpass my previous works in ways I never expected. You don't have to break the world record in a race. You can be content just getting faster.

I tried to draw but spending 3 years drawing every single day only to see that i didn't improve in the slightest put an end to that
