I went to Cozy Soup n Burger to see why it’s closing. It’s a classic american diner - vibes chill - menu big - boomers everywhere But the food is alright; the burger was hot and freshly made, but I’d still prefer a McDonald’s burger over it The real shock was the price. After tip I paid $37.56 for a cheeseburger and cup of soup. No drink, no sides. In a city like NYC where great food is at every corner, the price just is not competitive at all.

According yo her gofund me page… Hi my name is Destinee I'm a single mother of two who just moved back to Dallas from Chicago just to give my kids a better life. I Wanted my kids to experience something more than where we were from. Better schools, more opportunities, and cheaper rent for me to be able to do more with my kids. It all backfired on me dealing with a man I thought I could trust somebody I was with on and off for 2 years. Two weeks ago he put his hands on me and that was my final straw me. I have a daughter and I refuse to let her see me get abused by a man. I have to lead by example for both of my kids. Being the God fearing woman l am I gave him a few weeks to get his situation in order to official leave my apartment today. I went about my day as normal took my kids to school and went to do Lyft. Once I got back home he has completely vandalized my apartment from TVs, my content phone, my bed, my daughter's iPad, clothes and more! He also stole my gun I took all the proper steps to get him arrested for the assault from 2 weeks ago and for property damage that was done today. Detective stated it will take 3 to 5 business days for any progress but they are on top of it considering his background they cannot issue out a protective order until they have him in custody. I Will be going to the courthouse tomorrow to try and get a temporary restraining order but for now it's all a waiting game. just started my job and I just moved back here and I refuse to lose it all or let him run me back to Chicago. My daughter's birthday is in 4 days and I have to put a smile on my face and pick up the pieces for my babies.

Fast food was meant to be fast, cheap and convenient. But at what point is waiting 25 minutes for the food any thing but fast, cheap and convenient? This woman demanded freebies for waiting that long, would you think you were owed something if forced to wait that long for food at a McDonald’s? I was there to get a milkshake. They told me to pull forward because it would be a few minutes. 15 minutes later I am still sitting there and someone finally comes out and tells me that their ice cream/milkshake machine is down. Then he walks away. I was confused because I already paid, so I’m thinking are they getting me a refund or are they going to try to make something else? I wait for another 10 minutes and still nothing. I pull back around and told them I ordered a milkshake and I still haven’t received it. The drive through person then tells me that the machine is down. Like duh! I know that, but I already paid so where do we go from here? They said they can’t offer a refund because the manager who has the authority to do that isn’t there. They give me a number to call and they can fix it for me. I hated to do this but I then asked for a manager, I explain what happened and they just said call the number and they will fix it. I say well I’ve been here for a half an hour, I was forced to wait for nothing. She apologized and said there wasn’t anything else they could do to help me. This is the reason why I hate going to fast food places, a little acknowledgement would have gone a long way. Even a free drink or a fry is Pennie’s to them and would show they understand the inconvenience but nothing tells me they just don’t care.

I explained to him what I was doing, everyone around also explained to him but he was hell bent on them taking me to their station to invade my privacy. I was scared for my life and my safety cos they were not putting on Uniform and they handled me like a criminal 😡😡 What have I done

The SECRET of Nats Park that should not be a secret, especially since I’ve been doing it for 18 straight years, including the World Series. YOU CAN BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD! STILL IN 2026! And a burger outside the stadium is $9 and inside the stadium. The same exact burger is $16. Back in the day we used to make sandwiches at home and buy peanuts for a dollar at 7-11. But today I wanted to show you the difference between buying food outside the stadium and inside the stadium. So we went to Swizzler, a very popular Smashburger place in DC. It’s located right outside of Nat Park. I got a burger and then went in the stadium to compare the price. So crazy that the $9 Swizzler burger is $16 inside Nats Park and I don’t even think they sell fries at Nats Park. So yeah, do not sleep on bringing your own food from home and water into the ballpark! but maybe bring some kind of a clear plastic bag from home because they didn’t like the brown paper bag today lol 😁

This is why I never go camping alone in some creepy and reportedly haunted woods. In a place where locals go to perform their own rituals and believe they are something they aren’t is not a place to go camping under the stars and roast marshmallows around a fire. I would save that for another time. For my take on this I wouldn’t even know where to start. I couldn’t imagine going campaigning with friends only for a woman who thinks she’s a witch to start running around the car and onto the car trying to scare me away because to her this is some sacred place. When we were kids we always went to a place called the Yogi Bear campground. It was more of a resort, it was named after a famous cartoon character. My family went and allowed us to each bring a friend. In the days we would explore the woods and go swimming at the pool, hit up the concessions. But at night while everyone slept, we were young and dumb. A friend had brought an ouija board and we were trying to open portals and contact spirits. One night in the tent when we did that, it was around 4am, we heard someone walking around the tent while we were using the board. We were all around 11-12 years old, we were terrified. I remember my friend telling me to open the tent and see what’s there but I didn’t. I just sat there and we waited it out. Looking back at this moment, and I use this moment in my own mind not to ever get an ouija board. I think it could have just been other campers who were walking by and it just happened around the same time. But I will never forget that day for obvious reasons.

This is San Francisco in 1985. I miss my grandparents. I miss all of my family who are no longer here. When my grandparents came to visit, we would go to SFO to pick them up, and no one was ever happier to see me than they were. This was back when you could walk right up to the gate. I was always excited to see if this would be the year I was finally taller than my grandma. Having them in town was the best. The meals my grandma cooked for us were amazing, and their stories were always just as great. We would take them to San Francisco and do all the touristy stuff like North Beach and Fisherman’s Wharf, but none of that really mattered. What mattered was that we were all together. They’ve been gone for years now, but I think of them often. I wonder what it would have been like to talk to them as an adult, to connect in a different way than I could as a kid. I guess life isn't really designed that way for everyone, to grow up and have those deeper conversations, to understand who they were beyond being your grandparents. But I have gotten to know them in new ways, through old photos, home movies, and the stories other family members have shared with me. It amazes me to think of the full lives they both lived long before I was ever born. If you still have your grandparents, give them a call. Say hello. Learn as much as you can from them while you still can.
