It’s wrong to leave one child indefinitely frozen because they are the wrong sex — or worse, to destroy that “extra embryo.” This is one of the many ethical problems with IVF and surrogacy. Infertility can be incredibly painful, but IVF and surrogacy put the wants of parents above the rights and needs of children. Children deserve better.

I understand where Machu's mother is coming from. I also understand that she wishes for nothing but a bright, happy future for her daughter, someone so special that she works hard to give her everything she needs to fulfill her dreams and pursue a proper career. But this isn't what Machu wants. Not all kids have the same goals. Machu doesn't want to become a doctor or an engineer. She's a simple minded girl who wants to go to Earth and live under a real sky. She wants to feel what it's like to swim in the ocean. And maybe that's why she wants to become a jellyfish.. because they're free, and she's caged. Her mother needs to understand that, but unfortunately, she cares more about society than what her daughter wants. She's a good mother, but she needs to try to understand her daughter and what she really wants. Society will always judge you no matter what, anyway. To hell with society and social standards. Let your daughter become a jellyfish and come marry me, Ms. Tamaki.

This mother of five, Janelle, heard about this test. You sit your child in between the mother and father and then you count to three and see who they look at first. Supposedly, whomever the child looks at first, means you love them the most. She said “I woke up and decided to hurt my own feelings today.”😢 From a psychological standpoint, to me, having both parents immediately look at you triggers a fear you did something wrong and kids naturally look to the authoritative figure to determine if they’re in trouble. Do you think there is any validity to the test she did or do you think it is more natural for a child to look at the authoritative figure, the dad, first?

I just watched a shocking video of young kids completely tearing apart a fast-food restaurant—throwing heavy chairs, swinging sticks, and violently attacking each other right in the middle of the dining room. It begs a serious, heartbreaking question: Is this how we are raising our youth today? This isn't just "kids being kids." This is reckless, destructive behavior that puts innocent employees, bystanders, and families in immediate danger just for trying to get a meal. When did it become acceptable to resolve conflicts by destroying public property and turning a local restaurant into a warzone? The black community needs to take hard look in the mirror and ask—is this the future mothers and fathers want for their children? Because this kind of out-of-control violence only leads down one of two paths: a jail cell or a hospital bed. They need parents, mentors, and communities to step up, hold these kids accountable, and guide them before they completely throw their futures away.
