I also understand that she wishes for nothing but a bright, happy future for her daughter, someone so special that she works hard to give her everything she needs to fulfill her dreams and pursue a proper career. In this harsh world you really can't survive for long without a career, which is why her mother is so concerned. However, Machu might become a farmer on earth and grow apples and tomatoes. That's a simple life, but I think something so simple will make her happy and fulfilled.
