These meetings are a joke. All we get is recycled talking points, excuses, and a front-row seat to watch how our tax dollars are being wasted. That's it. Nothing discussed in these meetings is focused on helping the taxpaying citizens of Chicago. Nothing. They give the appearance that they're fighting for you. They give the appearance that they're discussing solutions to improve your life. But when you sit through these meetings and watch what actually happens, you see the truth. The citizens come last. The agenda comes first. I've attended meeting after meeting at City Hall, Cook County, CPS, and other government bodies. The more you watch, the more you realize how disconnected these elected officials are from the people paying the bills. As Mayor, I will change that. My administration will launch forensic audits of city departments, contracts, grants, and taxpayer-funded programs. We will identify waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption and make the findings public. Every department receiving taxpayer dollars will be required to show results and public reports. Failed programs will no longer receive money. I will create a Chicago DOGE Office dedicated to rooting out wasteful spending and ensuring taxpayer money is spent on public safety, neighborhood investment, infrastructure, economic development, and services that benefit Chicago citizens. Thank you NEWSMAX .Anyone who's mad at me or saying I'm lying. Maybe you should start coming to City Hall and talking to the homeowners who have been fighting these issues for years. Go speak with the citizens who have been showing up meeting after meeting, trying to protect their homes, neighborhoods, and communities. I've been fighting on their behalf, especially as property taxes have skyrocketed and, in many cases, nearly tripled. I don't just make things up or repeat talking points. I spend time talking to the people affected, attending meetings, and listening to citizens who are living through these problems every day. I'm REALLY about the Chicago citizens. I will always stand with the people and fight for the homeowners, taxpayers, small businesses, and families who call Chicago home. I told all of them to their faces that Chicagoans were going to rise up. They laughed and thought it was a game. I went downtown the other day. This is what a Democratic-run city looks like. This is what’s being allowed. Citizens, enough is enough. We must demand change. Please listen, and share. Mayor Brandon Johnson held a press conference to announce what he calls the Protecting Renters Ordinance. But we're not playing these games anymore. Chicago taxpayers know the city paid 9,000 dollars a month to house illegal aliens, while many Chicago citizens were pushed out of apartment buildings because landlords could receive higher payments. We also know proposals were made to protect those illegal aliens from eviction, even as many Chicago citizens continued to struggle. So here's my question: Where was the Protecting Homeownership Ordinance? When property taxes on the South and West Sides skyrocketed, and in some cases tripled, why wasn't there an ordinance to protect Chicago homeowners? Why wasn't there a property tax freeze for the citizens who worked their entire lives to pay off their homes, only to risk losing them because of rising taxes? Why wasn't an executive order issued to protect Chicago citizens? As Mayor, my administration will end Chicago's sanctuary city policies, and Chicago citizens will come first. When I propose a property tax freeze or homeownership protections, there will be no confusion about who those policies are for, they will be for the citizens of Chicago. SOUTH SHORE, WHAT I SAW I recently visited the South Shore community and spoke with citizens and small business owners about their concerns. I walked blocks of abandoned businesses and vacant buildings around 71st & Merrill and 71st & Clyde. This is personal to me. I grew up near 68th & Paxton, and I remember when these streets were full of thriving businesses, families shopping, and a strong sense of community. To see it looking like this today is heartbreaking. This is what Democratic policies have produced while claiming to create an affordable Chicago. THE PROBLEM The business owners we spoke with said they are barely holding on because of: • High property taxes • Crime and retail theft • Inflation • Rising operating costs • Excessive regulations Unfortunately, this is not just a South Shore problem. Communities across Chicago are facing the same challenges. WHAT I WOULD DO AS MAYOR My administration would implement a Small Business Recovery & Relief Plan focused on. • Property tax relief for struggling small businesses and grants to help them stay in business • Cutting unnecessary regulations and fees • Streamlining permits and licensing • Making it easier to open and operate businesses in Chicago PUBLIC SAFETY FIRST Businesses cannot thrive without safety. My administration would: • Increase police presence in business corridors • Crack down on retail theft, vandalism, and repeat offenders by locking them up and keeping them there • Restore order in commercial districts • Help business owners focus on growing their businesses instead of worrying about crime ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR TAX DOLLARS I will launch forensic audits to track where taxpayer dollars are going. Public Safety meeting. Look at the chambers, EMPTY. I really want to show you all how much elections matter. Who you put in office matters. You pay their salaries. They get raises. They make six figures. But when our communities are hurting, when families are being shot, when teenagers are taking over the streets, and when citizens are begging for public safety, where are they? We had multiple mass shootings in about a week and a half. Then we had a Public Safety meeting, and the chambers should have been packed. Every elected official should have been there asking, “How do we stop the crime? How do we protect the citizens of Chicago?” But look around. Empty. Now compare that to when ICE was here. The chambers were full. Officials we never see showed up. Press conferences were held. Lawsuits were discussed. They showed up fast to protect illegal aliens. But when Chicago citizens are being killed, when our children are unsafe, when our neighborhoods are crying out for help, they are nowhere to be found. On top of that, we had white liberals coming up to the mic telling us that Black and Brown communities do not need policing in their neighborhoods, while being okay with 246 people being lost while on ankle monitors. Wake up. That tells you everything you need to know. Elections matter. Leadership matters. Priorities matter. As Mayor, public safety will be my number one priority. Day 4 out beating the streets. I’m out here to earn your vote. This is real grassroots. I’m not just demanding your vote or taking you for granted , I’m going to earn your vote. I’m not getting a lot of money to help me, but God is on my side, and He’s showing me that if He is for me, He is more than the world against me. This is what I love, talking to people, listening to them, and letting them know change is coming. We are going to make a difference. It’s all about community. Chicagoans, it’s all about community. We can have everything we deserve. That’s the way forward. I had a great time being out in the community talking to citizens. Most agree: we need change. People say they’ve never seen Chicago like this before, and we all agree , the leadership here has to GO. Seniors Told to Take Out Reverse Mortgages While Taxes Keep Rising The Mayor of Pickering says “we were elected to make decisions on behalf of the people.” Well — I was elected too. And I can almost guarantee that 100% of the people who voted for me, and at least 95% of all residents across Pickering and Durham, do not want higher taxes. People are already struggling. Seniors are trying to stay in the homes they worked their entire lives to pay off. Families are choosing between food and fuel. And when concerns were raised about seniors being pushed out of their homes by rising taxes, the Mayor’s response was for them to take out a reverse mortgage — to borrow against their homes just to survive government-imposed costs. That is not compassion. That is not fiscal responsibility. That is your government telling seniors to liquidate their dignity instead of changing priorities. Being elected does not give you a mandate to ignore hardship. It gives you a duty to protect the people — not push them further into debt. I will not support higher taxes while residents are already in survival mode.

We want to get rid of that waste but the stuff that the administration is doing in rescissions and executive orders, the stuff that we're doing to hold the appropriations budget flat, and what we're doing over here in reconciliation, which we should go further, that's where the real money is right, trillions of dollars.
