While dispersing from the crowd earlier this evening in San Francisco, a small number of people were smashing windows here on Sansome and Market The few that did vandalize were not active for the beginning of the protest when organizers were calling for ICE to halt enforcement.

Those few came to vandalize. Nobody brings a hammer to a peaceful protest. Gas masks, first aid, water, etc are understandable part of the kit. Not a hammer, not spray paint, not weapons.

Last thing SF needed. The city used to be so peaceful, especially nice in late Spring. Now it looks like Portland. I wish they would make arrests and jail the offenders. Law enforcement has to go after Antifa and the militant revolutionary organizations that operate in the shadows. We can’t let our public spaces be lost.
