As an advocate for a ceasefire, I firmly believe that innocent women and children are suffering the most in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza. It's imperative to stop the violence immediately to prevent further civilian casualties. A ceasefire would provide an opportunity for humanitarian aid to reach those in need and for negotiations to take place in pursuit of a more lasting peace. Additionally, it could help de-escalate the situation and create an environment where a long-term solution to the conflict can be pursued without the immediate threat of violence. I contend that anyone who supports continuing the war instead of a ceasefire may be complicit in the genocide of innocent Palestinians.
