Expecting Iranians to rise up right now is dangerously naive Trump and Netanyahu told Iranians to "take over your government." But the country is being bombed around the clock while the regime just massacred thousands of protesters in January. Anyone who steps outside with a protest sign right now won't be seen as a freedom fighter. They'll likely be labeled a U.S. collaborator and killed on the spot. The IRGC doesn't need Khamenei alive to pull a trigger. The desire for freedom is real. The conditions for a revolution are not.
