🚨🚨2-ALARM FIRE Tucson Fire was dispatched to a call of fire nature unknown at 3:37 this afternoon in the 3100 block of East 22nd Street. Engine 3 arrived six minutes later and reported smoke coming from the back door on and eaves of an abandoned AM/PM. A full alarm was called, and crews started to search for the source of the fire. As seen in this video, there was a significant fire event. The roof collapsed, and operations shifted to a defensive mode. At this time, crews are unable to enter the building to extinguish remaining hot spots, and excavators will be used to tear it down. Firefighters were on the roof when it collapsed, but they were uninjured, as was the individual seen in the video. This video highlights the dangers our crews face every time they battle a fire, and we are thankful that everyone is safe. The fire was caused by homeless activity.

Saturday is my mom’s funeral. I want to tell a story about her. When we were kids growing up in NYC, we were taught to love the NYPD and FDNY. Especially after 9/11. Every year she’d take us to run Tunnel to Towers Foundation, where you run from Brooklyn through the tunnel to the World Trade Center just like FDNY hero Stephen Siller did on September 11. She’d stop to shake every cop’s hand she could. Three years ago she was diagnosed with brain cancer. The disease and the surgery shut down her body, making it hard for her to do anything. But she wanted to run the race, and I wasn’t going to tell her she shouldn’t. So we drove up to New York from DC to run it, and of course it’s pouring rain for the race. And even though she could barely walk, she ran. I took this video of her running across the finish line. Her whole right side was shut down, and it hurt like hell, but she ran. So we just signed up to run it again this year in her honor, and are raising money for Tunnel to Towers Foundation in her name as Team Melanie Cash. There’s no organization she’d rather support. And if you want to run with us, drinks are on me after the race, which she’d also support.

I had a small group of 4/5 behind me and they screamed to my ears every fk 10/15 min, trying to pick fights with us (we ignored them 95% of the time) and continue to push their luggage toward my friend who wasn’t even allowed to sit down for this! They were so chaotic and such a disturbance that after a while even the security guard in our zone noticed they were weird and started to monitored them closer. A court was only ever needed to decide what a woman is because men decided they can be women. The law, and society, has always known what a woman is - for better or worse. No one will understand the actual turmoil of going through a court case to establish what a woman is unless you have had to do it. It’s even more stressful than the stupid premise suggests. Sleepless nights, hair falling out, sporadic inconsolable crying fits. But yet, we persist. Because we have to. For Women Scotland have my full admiration, and more. They are right, they have done the right thing and history will remember them on the right side. It’s inevitable. Men will never be women. Never tell women we’re not a reality. We know the reality all too well and will fight to defend it. Women have had to fight for everything we have. We got nothing in law and society by accident. This is just the latest fight, albeit possibly the most stupid. I cannot wait to one day take my daughter to Scotland and show her the inevitable For Women Scotland statue and tell her “they did this for you”. Thank you. And in the words of the late, great, Magdalen Berns, “fuck off you wanker”.

Today, we visited the Minab school in southern Iran, where US forces massacred 168 students and teachers at the outset of the Trump-Netanyahu war of aggression on Iran. By the time a truck is plowing into a gas station, the real story usually started long before the day of the crash. It started with what kind of carrier was allowed to keep operating like this. Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Here is the guy and the two ladies stopping traffic in the middle of the street. You can hear him yelling at the person in the white SUV. You can see the border patrol agents parked across the street in front of the place where they were going to arrest the criminal illegal alien and coming out of their cars. You can then see the two women go right towards the agent who was by his car and stand in front of him obstructing an active operation. It can't be seen in this video but we know from other videos that the guy went across the street to the area where the agents were. The two women and the guy all inserted themselves in an active operation. This is dangerous for officers and for the public. These officers have only a few minutes to get in there, execute the warrant, arrest the illegal alien (who may be armed since he is a criminal) and pull him out into their car. These people are going after these officers with loud whistles, blocking traffic, confronting them. Tirah Valley 1. The people of Tirah have always moved down in winter. This is recorded in books, gazettes, and remembered in our elders’ stories. This is not new. 2. Tirah is 7,500 feet high. In winter it is fully snow-covered. No family can survive there in peak winter. Coming down is a necessity. 3. There is no military operation. The army has not announced any operation in Tirah. 4. Let me explain in more detail, it’s a Poland border is a fucking concentration camp: 1) there are around 100 people with the same problem, shitty app isn’t working properly and shitload of drivers are stuck. 2) the fines are increased to 5,000 usd 3) all drivers are placed in one room without chairs, couches or places to sit. 4) there is no food or water 5) fine payments are only accepted in cash in place. 6) they aren’t letting out people to eat. 7) those who had cash and paid can’t prove they paid the fine, and they still not being let out. 8) our driver was brought there by police and has been there now for 3 hours without any progress. 9) there is no one to talk to and no one can help. 10) drivers phone is about to die 11) our driver is 70+ years old I need your help spreading this message Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t some mistake it’s a polish government policy to make as much problems for Ukrainians as possible.
