On the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, I personally supervised the rescue and relief operation in village 86-M, Jalalpur Pirwala. The operation has been successfully completed. Along with the safe evacuation of flood-affected families, their livestock has also been shifted to secure locations. The evacuation of animals from the flood-hit areas is still underway to ensure that no livelihood is left behind. Under the direct guidance of CM Maryam Nawaz, I remained on ground to monitor every step of the operation to make sure the people and their assets are fully protected.

Well, in 45 years of being in and around law enforcement, I have never before heard of an authorized or an unauthorized investigation. Officers must serve the public with professionalism, integrity, and respect, and they should be held accountable when they fall short. But what Los Angeles does not need is more political control over the LAPD by elected officials who have openly supported defunding the police, cutting public safety budgets, and weakening our criminal justice system. We already have civilian oversight through the Police Commission—a system that has provided accountability while preserving the independence necessary for effective policing. Let’s focus on what works: holding officers accountable, supporting public safety, and ensuring the LAPD has the resources needed to keep our neighborhoods and families safe.

Maryam keeps taking jabs at other provinces while we saw what happened in Sindh, but did anything like this happen there to the families of the deceased? Were their relatives beaten by the police? For what and why? Yesterday she held some officers in high positions responsible, and then conveniently arrested some lower level employees. She even gave a clean chit to her own Information minister who spread fake news and she managed to score some political points along the way. What a compassionate Chief Minister she is.
