That's really interesting. I wonder if it's some kind of debug object that got left in bounds. Maybe it's not ever meant to be displayed, which could explain the glitched behavior.

An amusing interaction occurs in Super Mario 64 DS if Yoshi brings a Koopa Troopa to the mountain in Bob-omb Battlefield and spits him out on the steep hill. The Koopa will bounce merrily along the hill until he despawns.

In Mario & Luigi: Brothership, a glitch may occur if a Bob-omb explodes while the "Notdroppin" Battle Plug is equipped, whereby Mario and Luigi will be pulled away from the battle permanently. The game must be reset to continue playing, as Mario and Luigi will not return.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a starving family and a Bob-omb sailor ask Mario for "anything edible". When offered explosives, the family will decline, but the Bob-omb will happily eat them. This may either be a deliberate Easter egg, or a serendipitous coincidence.

The last trailer Nintendo made for Super Mario 64 was actually a few years ago for Super Mario 3D All-Stars. The camera is still as much of a problem as it was in 1996, but the game holds up surprisingly well. Super Mario 64 is an all-time classic.

In Super Mario 64, the haunted chairs and normal chairs are actually the exact same object, whose behavior is determined solely by how close it is to the piano. Chairs close to the piano get it assigned as a parent object. Only parentless chairs are coded to become haunted.

Super Mario 64 DS contains a "Surf or Die" glitch. If Yoshi lands on a Koopa shell in a specific way, he will be fine for as long as he keeps surfing. However, the moment he stops surfing, the game will freeze.

You don't need an expensive 3D scanner. Your phone can be the camera. This is the idea behind photogrammetry. You simply take a bunch of pictures of an object from different angles. Then OpenScan processes those images and reconstructs the object as a 3D representation. No expensive 3D scanner needed.

The stroboscopic effect occurs when a moving object is illuminated by flashes of light (like from a strobe light) at regular intervals, causing the motion to appear slowed down, frozen, or moving backward — even though it's actually moving forward continuously.

To celebrate the end of 2018, Nintendo created an animation that played in Shibuya Crossing. In it, Mario picks up a coin and transforms into presumably a Shiba Inu, making him Dog Mario. This makes sense, as 2018 was the Year of the Dog

A mysterious object crashed in the Jabun region over Indonesia. If it were clearly a missile, a meteorite, or space debris, it would have fallen at an angle. The mysterious object fell vertically. This appears to be a UFO crash.
