FSD 14.2 STUNS IN WINTER DRIVING! Just got done driving ~100 miles on a snowy interstate and a little suburban driving. A few notes: FSD absolutely, definitively detects snow as a separate substance from rain. As the snow began to fall, there came a point where FSD first detected the snow and immediately slowed. From then on, it drove in a completely different profile. Generally, V14.2 kept 40-55mph on a 70mph interstate. When driving in Sloth/Chill and you try to increase the speed profile to Standard/Hurry, the truck displays a red error saying inclement weather is preventing FSD from speeding up. Fantastic! V14.2 takes corners slow as molasses to keep traction. It does NOT shoot gaps and pull out in front of other vehicles. V14.2 waits for BIG gaps to make its merge into traffic. It is properly cautious! One instance of Red Hands occurred when it was merging into a center left turn lane. This center lane was the only lane not plowed, so either 1. it got confused with lane markings or 2. Slid sideways very slightly and got upset. On straightaways on the interstate in areas with little snow coverage, V14.2 would speed up close to the speed limit. While the roads were wet today from road treatment, I was concerned for slick & frozen areas and manually backed off on the speed. While not technically unsafe, I did this out of an abundance of caution. IMO this is a grey area between "driving safely" and "not driving how I do" lol Not much ice today. Just snow and slush. Tonight, 6-12 inches of fresh snow is forecasted to fall here. I'll be out at dawn tomorrow to test in worse conditions with less traffic. Stay tuned.

This woman is using a bike lane as a walking lane as well. There is a car behind her trying to beat the traffic and driving in that lane. They are driving slowly behind her yelling at her to get out of the way and antagonizing her. She starts to record them because they are being reckless and have come close to hitting her and other cars. The car even cuts off the other cars as the lane is being blocked by a pole. I understand she’s mad because the car was where they weren’t supposed to be, however the bike lane is a bi-directional bike lane, it isn’t a bike lane on one side and a walking lane on the other. So who is wrong here, are they both wrong for using the bike lane when neither one is on a bike?

I stick to the middle lane, and people still try overtaking from the left like it’s normal. Buses & trucks hog the right lane. Bikes cruise in the middle. No rules, no logic, just survival. This isn’t traffic, it’s a daily gamble.

PVNR Flyover in Hyderabad brings out some of the worst drivers. Its a 40-60 kmph speed limit. Solid white all over to discourage lane changes. The idea is to get on it and drive in your lane for the entire stretch at or below 60 kmph. NO Overtaking, No Speeding. But some drivers treat it as a racing track- they weave, and cut, and overtake in small gaps putting others at risk. We have to change our racing mindset to achieve safe roads. PS: Unlike highways, flyovers & bridges don't have 'Fast lane' or 'Overtaking lane', everyone must drive below speed limit and follow each other patiently. (I get this response very often so posted this 🫤) #RoadSafety

FIR registered after submitting an application to the SP on 16/04/2026. Details sahred by - Manoj This is my dashcam video. The accident happened on 22 March 2026 near Badopal village in Fatehabad, Haryana, on National Highway 9. I was driving my Maruti Celerio towards Agroha when a Honda City coming in the fast lane, driven by a lady, crashed head-on into my car. The police are refusing to register my FIR because it is a VIP vehicle, and the police officers have already taken money from them. I have already met the SP of Fatehabad on 25 March 2026 and also submitted another complaint to the SP on 10 April 2026, but no proper action has been taken so far. Thankfully, I had a dashcam installed in my car. Otherwise, I would have been forced to pay for the damage to their car as well, because even now the police are trying to portray me as the accused. The police are claiming that the road had been converted into a single lane, but the single-lane diversion started after the next cut ahead. I was never informed about any single-lane traffic, and there were no warning signs either. I also have earlier footage showing that no vehicles were driving on my side of the road. #driveresponsibly

🚨 Many of you asked us to test highway driving with Tesla Full Self-Driving v14.2.1.25. Here’s what we noticed: ✅ Speed Profiles are significantly improved. Hurry Mode is no longer capped at 10 MPH over the speed limit, and now travels with the flow of traffic. This is much more comfortable and requires no assistance on the driver’s end. Previously, I was helping it switch lanes with v14.2.1. ✅ Lane changes are performed much more confidently and FSD seems to make proper maneuvers at proper times. This was a regression in v14.2.1. This version is significantly better. ✅ Merging, switching lanes, and passing are all performed with zero interventions. Perhaps the most natural feeling of highway driving in an FSD update in some time. Well done Tesla AI

V14.2.1 highway regression vs 14.1. In standard mode, FSD makes a maneuver into the left lane to pass a semi truck. Because they have jailed the speed limits of non mad max profiles, FSD cannot use acceleration to make this pass. So it ends up camping the left lane. In my right side view mirror, you can see someone coming up on my ass, and FSD is not getting back over. It’s also not speeding up to pass the semi because it is in speed jail. I had to scroll mad max to get through the maneuver. Def a regression from 14.1.

Scalextric has today confirmed its involvement in the rollout of Guided Motorway Infrastructure across the UK. Vehicles will follow fixed lanes using underbody guides, with drivers controlling speed through throttle input. The aim is to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and remove unnecessary lane changes. In the unlikely event of a “deslot”, trained motorway marshals will return vehicles safely to operation. Further updates to follow.

ATTN: TGSRTC -Kindly counsel your drivers that it's not recommended for large vehicles (4 wheelers too) to overtake from left side on crowded city roads. Better to stick to right lane after departure from bus stop and drive steady. All this weaving will not really get you ahead much, but exponentially increases risk of accidents because of the many blind spots around a bus. Left lane in city roads is best left for 2 & 3 wheelers. #RoadSafety #ArriveAlive
