Look, obviously, the idea of being able to do something else, like work, while driving is extremely appealing, but you just can't do it like that. Tesla FSD v14 is extremely impressive, but the best data we have right now points to a critical intervention every ~2,000 miles on average. Human drivers crash about every ~400,000 miles on average. You will hurt yourself, or God forbid, someone else, if you keep doing this, as you won't be able to intervene properly. I know some don't believe because they blindly believe Tesla's claim that "FSD is 10x safer than human drivers", but that's the most misleading claim ever. First off, the data is cherry-picked. I do believe that driving on FSD is safer than driving without, but closer to a factor 3x based on the best, not-Tesla-massaged, data. But more importantly, that's 3x safer than FSD plus human. Not just FSD. It is safer because it is supervised by a human paying attention and correcting the system when needed. If you use it like this guy, you are not safer. Period.

FSD V14.1.4 | 37 Minute Drive with the push of a button Everyday that I am out on the road I drive past all the other cars and I wonder how many of them realize what Tesla has accomplished already with FSD. Given that so many Tesla owners don't even know about FSD I have to assume the majority of other people on the road also do not know. I'm not sure what the answer is, but somehow the public needs to be made aware of what's happening here - at this point it's undeniably good and more people need to try it out and experience it for themselves. People are so hung-up on FSD Unsupervised that they're ignorning the fact that we have self-driving cars today. Tesla FSD is not perfect - but it is incredibly good, and when you put it up against every other ADAS here in North America it is undeniably how far ahead Tesla is at the moment. I think it's fair to talk about the issues that exist today with FSD - but I also think there are some people who cannot take the time to appreciate what FSD is actually capable of... When I got my car two years ago I had no idea that the technology existed for a car to be able to stop itself at a stop sign - that is how unaware the general public is of FSD.

FSD can be disengaged by a passenger. This is just a quick PSA to let people know that it is possible for someone sitting in the passenger seat to disable FSD while it's being used. I saw a post today (link below) where a couple was driving and the passenger unintentionally put the car into neutral while driving down a windy road - causing a minor accident. Truthfully I am not sure why it's even possible to put the car into neutral while it's driving, what is the reason that would be needed? Curious what everyone thinks of this?

I think everyone should listen to this. Tesla FSD has gotten so incredibly good that people are now getting so hung up on the lingering issues and completely dismissing the fact that we literally have self-driving cars. When I grew up the idea of a self-driving car was something out of science fiction. Ten year old Devin could have never guessed that later in life his car would be driven by electricity and drive itself. The future is cool, appreciate it for what it is and don't get too hungup on the imperfections along the way. Tesla is actively putting out new updates as fast as they possibly can to continue to make FSD better - let them cook, and enjoy the ride.

I spent a few hours using Tesla FSD V14.3.5 on the Cybertruck yesterday. I said this before, but I honestly think the Cybertruck is the best vessel for FSD. The way it handles tight spaces and sharp turns is impressive. What makes the Cybertruck the best (imo) is the way it can just eat up the road under it. Potholes, rough roads, whatever, it doesn’t matter. Cybertruck glides over everything. That combined with amazing car control is why I think it’s the best, and most comfortable. I just can’t get over how amazing FSD is these days. For the younger generation, self-driving will become the norm. For us, I don’t think it will ever get old.

I don’t have my action cam rigged up right now because I’m with people, but had to pull this and share it. FSD V14.2 will literally drive you off of a completely unmapped construction site using cameras and neural nets. Understand that this is a big grey block of nothing on the map and the car did not have any routing path on the GPS until we made it out to the road at the end. Do you understand the difference yet? Are you getting it? Tesla already ships robots to consumers.

I tested Xpeng's VLA 2.0 in the streets of Beijing, and it is comparable to my experience of daily driving Tesla FSD v14. Xpeng is not charging $100 a month to drive this. It is inlcuded in its higher-trim vehicles and it already caught the attention of Volkswagen, which is going to integrate into its own vehicles - something Tesla hasn't been able to do despite trying. I think as always it’s fair to talk about the good and the bad with each new version of FSD that comes out. It feels like FSD V14.2.2.4 is still struggling with speed control. I spent the majority of my drive tonight in standard and I found that on most straight stretches of road the car was going under the speed limit by a considerable amount (15kmh at times) Here’s a raw clip of the car driving between 60-67 kmh in a 70kmh zone with zero cars around it to slow it down. The road is well lit with traffic lights, so I don’t really see any reason at all to be driving this way. Let me know what you all think.
