For millions of Ukrainians, Easter is one of the most important holidays. And millions of Ukrainians will go to church. Sadly, many will go to churches that are damaged or destroyed. The Russian army is one of the biggest threats to Christian churches and believers. Over the years of full-scale war, 67 Ukrainian priests, pastors and monks have been killed or tortured by Russian occupiers. 640 religious sites have been destroyed, most of them Christian. But we will rebuild all of them. Just like we’re bringing back priests and pastors from Russian captivity, just like we’re doing everything to protect Ukrainian towns and villages and the lives of people there – we are also bringing back the chance to believe, to believe that evil and destruction will not win. Thank you to everyone who helps.

Because every Russian loss and defeat teaches Russia, and any other adversary of Europe and the free world, that aggression does not and cannot pay off. Cooperation and resoluteness are two responses that we must all give to the question of war's end and the path to peace.

We will do everything to further intensify diplomacy. We will do everything to make diplomacy effective. But every day now is about defending our independence, our state, and our people. We must remember – it is the support of our army, all our defense and security forces, and our state that determines everything. We remember and celebrate the life of each and every soul we lost on September 11th, 2001. We honor the courage and bravery of all those who rose up in the face of evil to help thier fellow man. We lift up the men and women of the NYPD, FDNY, and all who responded by charging into the chaos, smoke and flames to save lives. The unbreakable courage, and the immeasurable bravey displayed by these heroes on that fateful day, reflects the very soul of New York City and what it means to be an American. We lost 343 firefighters, 72 police officers, and at least 2,753 other individuals, each with thier own story, family, hopes and dreams. While we can never bring them back, their legacy endures in every expression of kindness, every moment of unity, and in every act of exceptional bravery. May God bless our fallen heroes, and may God bless the United States of America. #September11th #NeverForget 🇺🇸

Proud citizens take to the streets of a city where mass celebrations are impossible. Bombed, scarred, but unbroken. We walk. We sing. We mourn the fallen and celebrate the living.
