I’d have Stokes at 3 and rest Pope for the next game, but I suspect they won’t do that and that it’ll be Bashir that gets rested (even if Stokes can’t bowl).

It’s not a tough decision at all if they go with logic. Bashir has been a bit of a burden with his bowling and dropped chance. The drop cost plenty of runs until Leach got the first wicket this morning. Root can do a second spinner role, he’s competent enough.

Get rid of Bashir - he's a waste of space.
