I think the homeowner who lets their dog bark for hours is in the wrong. The neighbor was very polite, not a Karen.

People who own dogs should not let them bark. That's not how a considerate decent human behaves. Who wants to hear your dog bark all day? Once and a while of course. For hours? Heck no.

I’m a dog owner . We never leave him outside barking. If he barks, we actually go outside to find out why, if he doesn’t stop , he’s inside - it’s disrespectful to other neighbors - quality of life , of peace , is affected, to be forced to listen to a barking dog is wrong and it shows what type of person you are to do it to someone else .

Got a neighbor behind me that I HAD the the same problem with. I recorded their dog for hours and then played it back over a loudspeaker pointed at their house when they were trying to have a peaceful time in their backyard. It stopped.

Asshole dog owners and I am one of them, but we don't leave our dogs out all night they got crates to sleep in. You ain't living in the country let your neighbors have some piece at night for gosh sake.

I agree with the Karen. Control your dogs. Get them some training. None of your neighbors want to hear your dog barking at 4 am every single night and then listen to that shit for 12-15 hours a day.

Yes dogs bark. But if they bar for hours, time for the owner to be considerate of their neighbors. The lady that came to the door was completely rational and polite. The dog owner is a bitch.

The dog owner is wrong. I have 2 dogs and yes barking is natural for them but I feel bad if it goes on for more than a minute or two. They only bark if there is a reason. It sounds like that dog is ignored by its people

A little bit of barking - reacting to something - totally normal. Constant nonstop barking - stress, neglect.

A dog barking constantly, especially at night, but really anytime, is a public nuisance. This lady did the right thing, was very nice/polite, the dog owner is an entitled bitch. Call the cops. If the cops don't resolve it, look up the term 'abating a public nuisance' for the legal process in your State/jurisdiction. That said, I would likely find a simple way to abate such a nuisance myself.

I had a neighbor like this, multiple people in the neighborhood asked the owner to bring the dogs into his house and he refused. One day one of my other neighbors shot his dogs and the barking was solved. Shit you see in the hood.

I always say — Wherever you live, rich or poor, miserable neighbors can turn your life into a nightmare.
