But, the sudden appearance of an unmarked, poorly constructed, and unregulated speed breaker on the same road can catch same drivers off guard. Their reflexes, conditioned to the previous road conditions, fail to adapt in time, leading to accidents. The video below shows the situation in Smart City Dehradun, where numerous unmarked and substandard speed breakers have appeared overnight, seemingly in response to the recent ONGC SUV accident that claimed six young lives. Ideally, speed breakers should be constructed following proper guidelines, with prior public notice via newspapers, radio, or other mediums. Clear signboards should also be installed to alert drivers in advance. Too much to ask for?

"Accidents don't just happen, they are caused". That was one of the first driving lessons I got from my dad as a teenager. He taught me on the need to "have control" over the vehicle. That the lesser the speed, the more control you have and the higher the speed, the less control you have to manoeuvre the vehicle in case of any emergency. Those words remain engraved in my mind whenever I am driving. Today we mourn two young men who lost their lives in a preventable ghastly motor accident. No matter how you analyse it, whether or not you think the emergency rescue system was good enough, one thing is certain, the accident would not have happened if the driver was not over speeding. This is obvious from the damage to the car and the nature of the injuries to the dead. According to Nigeria’s National Road Traffic Regulations (as enforced by the FRSC), the standard maximum speed limit for cars on expressways (like the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway) is generally 100 km/h under ideal conditions. Taxis and buses are typically limited to around 90 km/h, while heavy vehicles (like tankers/trailers) are limited to lower speeds (≈60 km/h) depending on vehicle type. These regulatory limits are the default for expressways unless otherwise signed or enforced locally. According to the NBS, 5 out of every 10 accidents in Nigeria are caused by overspending. 80% of the casualties are male. If Nigerians just do the minimum by keeping to speed limits, the number of accidents recorded yearly will be reduced by half and maybe, (no scratch that) certainly, we will ensure more men and women make it home alive to their loved ones.

Can Venezuela withstand the attack after Trump's green light? Initially, the targets would be Venezuelan radars, which would be attacked by American drones, disabling the anti-aircraft defenses. A lot is being said about Tesla FSD. This video shows something different. FSD is set to a maximum speed of 130 km/h. The recognized speed limit is 120 km/h. When I press the accelerator, I can temporarily exceed that speed. But the moment I release the pedal, FSD smoothly returns to 120 km/h. In other words, Tesla does not continue speeding on its own. And let’s not forget the most important fact: The driver remains responsible for the vehicle at all times. FSD (Supervised) is a driver-assistance system that follows traffic rules, not a replacement for the driver. Watch the video. Facts over fear.

A law must be made where anyone entering a club should be required to deposit their car keys and only be given back after clearing an alcohol test. Just yesterday, 4 youngsters lost their lives after leaving a club alcohol and driving together is nothing less than a death trap. This Thar crashed into a divider at Exit 9 on the Delhi–Gurugram Expressway, and another shocking part what i see is that the airbags didn’t even deploy. I love you FSD v14.2 - but speed control has to come back soon… or they need to somehow solve misreading speed limits/bad map data. At the end of this clip we are JUST going the speed limit while in mad max. I’ve also had the car think it’s 30 km/h in a 60 km/h zone - in those situations even mad max won’t drive the speed limit and I am forced to use the pedal. This is actually more of a problem now since 14.2 since all of the profiles drive slower than they did in 14.1. I am 100% okay with the slower profiles, but only if the car actually knows the real speed limit.

We tell you this because, if you do this, you're looking at a $150 ticket and a 3-point license violation. You're also putting our deputies lives at risk. Colorado's Move Over Law requires you to move over one lane or significantly reduce your speed when approaching emergency vehicles with flashing lights. The law is in place to protect first responders who are working on our roadways often in already dangerous conditions. Please, when you see those lights, MOVE OVER or SLOW DOWN. This was the video recorded by GoPro 🥲. It’s a clear mistake of car driver who was coming from wrong direction. But motorcyclist also looks like over the speed limit. If you carefully watch first 3 sec of the video, on the road it was written ‘SLOW’ 😒. You can't control others, but at least keep your speed slow enough that you have time to react at-least, if something comes suddenly. RIP to that soul 🙏🙏

This man was riding his expensive 650cc bike at a speed of 100 km/h. Just then, a mini-truck driver coming from the opposite direction started turning his mini-truck to take another road. He had also turned on his indicator before making the turn. The bike rider was riding at a speed of more than 100 km/h, so when the mini-truck turned, he suddenly applied the brakes, causing him to lose balance and almost fall. The fault was with the bike rider because he was riding at a very high speed. Yet, he followed the mini-truck, stopped the driver, and started blaming him. He told him, You were not looking at the road ahead while driving your mini-truck. It is your responsibility to look at the road and check whether it is clear before turning your vehicle. The mini-truck driver replied that he had turned on his indicator before making the turn and that the bike rider was overspeeding, which is why all this happened. As soon as he heard this, the bike rider started lying, claiming that he was riding at only 45 km/h. If the bike had really been moving that slowly, it would have stopped immediately and his balance would not have been disturbed like that. People riding such expensive bikes are often idiots. The pain of the family! Mother of the deceased in yesterday’s ORR accident in Hyderabad asks what she should she live for when her daughter, son-in-law and grand kids died…an entire generation wiped off. Absolutely painful! As per preliminary reports, the lorry was stopped there a while ago because the driver and cleaner wanted to fasten the ropes on the vehicle. The indicators were not switched on. THERE ARE NO DESIGNATED STOPS ON THE ORR. You cannot stop the vehicle on ORR unless it is an emergency & even in that case there are only a few places where it is allowed. All six people died are from Sircilla, KTR’s constituency. His team has been deployed to assist the families of the deceased since last evening.

The pain of the family! Mother of the deceased in yesterday’s ORR accident in Hyderabad asks what she should she live for when her daughter, son-in-law and grand kids died…an entire generation wiped off. Absolutely painful! As per preliminary reports, the lorry was stopped there a while ago because the driver and cleaner wanted to fasten the ropes on the vehicle. The indicators were not switched on. THERE ARE NO DESIGNATED STOPS ON THE ORR. You cannot stop the vehicle on ORR unless it is an emergency & even in that case there are only a few places where it is allowed.
