This is a 'beater' for Cover 8 (HQQ). Safeties miscommunicated. Poach Safety took the literal #3 & didn't see #2 (who becomes new #3) bend underneath the clear-out route. Tough.

Looks like quarters? probably the LB and then the weak side safety should be poaching

It’s a great play call against quarters. Not sure we can pinpoint who’s fault it is, but I think the two safety’s need to communicate and “switch” or be prepared to after Rice stems inside. Eventually 29 would carry him across with the other safety taking the post. @Steelers_DB
