DJ audits is a prat but he has the right to fly over and film. He's looking for confrontation for clicks, if people ignore him he won't make any money.

The drone operator. If that drone is under 250gms and is taking off from public land it can be flown anywhere that is not designated a no fly zone irrespective of what’s below. People do not control air space. Right, wrong or indifferent, that’s the law and within CAA regulations.

I don't care who's legally in the right here, this drone wanker just does this to antagonise people to get reactions for you tube hits. He's going out of his way to make people's day more difficult for no good reason whatsoever, so he's the one in the wrong.

Key words spoken by Paul Holmes the managing director is "flying the drone above my property". Above means not on the ground. Anything in the air is controlled by the CAA, not the landowner. That's why planes can fly over his property. And drones. Paul is in the wrong. He is so wrong that he has made himself look a fool by being serious uneducated and thick and incompetent. And a thug.

I don't understand the need to fly a drone over someone's business unless it's an emergency etc. People like this (who fly drones) seem to be looking for confrontation or think they are above the law. It's the same thing when these audit people do it with cameras for clicks on yt

CAA rules: 6. If an individual building is at least 50m away from other buildings, it’s not treated as a residential, recreational, commercial or industrial area, but you must not fly within 50m of it.

DJ Audits is correct. Air space is not owned by private individuals or business.

I've seen the argument "well planes fly over", and sure they do, but no one foresaw drone owners flying low over these places and peering through doors and windows. In the hope of course of getting a reaction. They probably don't even know what an auditor actually does.

I used to think of the "auditor" guys as nothing more than a nuisance. Not anymore though. The events of last few years brought a big decline of individual rights. If you don't exercise them, you loose them. If you "just comply" for a peace of mind. Next time you have no choice.

DJ audits, is a good auditor, for the most part respectful, the only thing in exposés, is security and companies, who believe they have more power, than they do. All the people here are complaining, but most don't worry about mass surveillance and facial recognition 🤪

The "auditor" is correct in terms of the law but fuck me he is an absolute tosser who makes people hate those who fly drones - he is a worse version of cycling mikey who at least rats on people breaking the law. This guy is just a complete wanker

Paul, who is already very angry, is likely to become apoplectic when he realises DJ can freely fly a drone over his property.

Profilbild von Walter Ego

Why are people defending the pilot? He obviously know the laws which is why he flies a 249g drone, so the only reason he's doing it is to provoke the business owner. So he's a cunt. Stop defending cunts. I bet if the business owner destroyed the drone, he's press charges too.

I wouldn't like it... They only do it to antagonise the victim for YouTube hits. It's going to go wrong one day when they record something they shouldn't and get battered by some big wigs...🤔

Paul. I’m with him. You have to be at least 50 meters away from people or vehicles or structures. I would question the drone idiot could prove he is more than 50 meters away. Also the idiot said it was confidential who he was supposedly working for. The other thing is harassment. If Paul or his staff felt harassed, the police can get him for that. Personally, if there is a drone problem, Paul could get his own drone and crash it into the idiots drone. Being polite doesn’t mean you’re exempt or entitled.

The fellow with the drone is unemployed, unloved, limp-wristed and profoundly lonely. This absurd type of 'content generation' winding up innocent people is his way of being a somebody. It's ridiculous.

The drone operator is fully compliant with the law of the land (and air), and while the business owner might not like it, and is getting his knickers in a twist over it, there isn’t a blind thing he can do about it. Calling the police is wasting their time - and possibly a crime

No one would have ever seen this video if he just went about his day. the only reason this got uploaded is because of his reaction, why the fuck would anyone sit on the internet and just watch videos of a guy filming a building. No one gives a fuck about your building or business

This is interesting to me. The guy was hyperventilating just walking up to him. He’s a managing director? Maybe conflict resolution outside the HR office environment is stressful for him? Still I’d expect a bit more ‘presence’, from an MD 🤔😳

There is no strict "ownership" of the airspace above a home, but low-level, persistent, or intrusive flying can be considered a nuisance or privacy violation (harassment/data protection)
