CAA rules: 6. If an individual building is at least 50m away from other buildings, it’s not treated as a residential, recreational, commercial or industrial area, but you must not fly within 50m of it.

I've seen the argument "well planes fly over", and sure they do, but no one foresaw drone owners flying low over these places and peering through doors and windows. In the hope of course of getting a reaction. They probably don't even know what an auditor actually does.

I used to think of the "auditor" guys as nothing more than a nuisance. Not anymore though. The events of last few years brought a big decline of individual rights. If you don't exercise them, you loose them. If you "just comply" for a peace of mind. Next time you have no choice.

DJ audits, is a good auditor, for the most part respectful, the only thing in exposés, is security and companies, who believe they have more power, than they do. All the people here are complaining, but most don't worry about mass surveillance and facial recognition 🤪

Why are people defending the pilot? He obviously know the laws which is why he flies a 249g drone, so the only reason he's doing it is to provoke the business owner. So he's a cunt. Stop defending cunts. I bet if the business owner destroyed the drone, he's press charges too.

Paul. I’m with him. You have to be at least 50 meters away from people or vehicles or structures. I would question the drone idiot could prove he is more than 50 meters away. Also the idiot said it was confidential who he was supposedly working for. The other thing is harassment. If Paul or his staff felt harassed, the police can get him for that. Personally, if there is a drone problem, Paul could get his own drone and crash it into the idiots drone. Being polite doesn’t mean you’re exempt or entitled.

The drone operator is fully compliant with the law of the land (and air), and while the business owner might not like it, and is getting his knickers in a twist over it, there isn’t a blind thing he can do about it. Calling the police is wasting their time - and possibly a crime

No one would have ever seen this video if he just went about his day. the only reason this got uploaded is because of his reaction, why the fuck would anyone sit on the internet and just watch videos of a guy filming a building. No one gives a fuck about your building or business

There is no strict "ownership" of the airspace above a home, but low-level, persistent, or intrusive flying can be considered a nuisance or privacy violation (harassment/data protection)
