Who remembers this TV show, Manimal?

If it were out today it'd be called "transmanimal"

Themanimal

They/Themanimal

@1980sRewind Yes!!!! I thought I imagined this , no one believes me !

Could turn into any animal as long as it was a panther or a bird

I met Simon MacCorkindale at the Oxford/Cambridge boat race, lovely chap RIP.

This was a great show and great concept, but obviously had a shoestring budget. Imagine what they could today with AI if it was rebooted!

With this and Jaws 3(D) in the can, 1983 was peak Simon MacCorkindale

I didn't see every episode, but from those I remember, he'd turn into a panther or an eagle. I don't know if he expanded his range and attempted an elephant or a chimpanzee for example.

The Black Panther! SO cool.

Yep but I started to get annoyed with it cos he mainly only turned into a panther, I wanted to more of other animals

I remember a the band W.A.S.P had a song called "The Manimal".

my wife loves Manimal. She won't stop talking about it.

Yeah that actor died few years back

@1980sRewind Me I loved it

What a show! MacCorkindale was a legend.

Heck yeah I remember... this was one of me and my best friends favourite shows when we were kids. Back in the day Manimal was the shit!

Everyone who was there… including me… have lived their lives ever since in the way of Manimal’s teachings.

Got this on dvd. Good memories

Loved it! Cancelled after one season I think

I do. I've got the complete series on DVD!

One of my favourites. Sad it didn’t last long, even though it did have a one-episode revisit many years later in the TV show Nightman.

Loved it

Loved it

I was young enough to be slightly scared by the bubbling hand but old enough to know it was so bad it was good.

Melody Anderson

Remember it but was always on other channel when parent was watching soap, so never saw it as only one tv

Not seen in it years

They should bring that show back, but with a nutcase who ‘identifies’ as all those creatures and the subsequent halirity that ensues when even the simplest feats fail miserably 😀

Simon was in allot of movies after that show

im lit one of the few geeks that watched.

The transformation used to scare the shit out of me.

Me! Totally ridiculous show but as a kid, I loved it

Loved it

I saw a couple of episodes when in Australia, don’t think it was shown in UK! Same with Automan!
