Singer Adam Lambert has released a video statement defending the ‘right’ of Drag Queens to perform in front of children. In the video he criticized Republican lawmakers who haves passed laws to protect children: “These lawmakers…are using children as an excuse to take one more thing away from us.” Lambert is part of several dozen LGBT celebrities and Ru Paul’s drag queens who are taking part in a ‘Drag Isn’t Dangerous’ event to push for more drag queens to appear in front of children.

The anti-Trump and anti-parental rights groups Drag Story Hour DMV, Drag Story Hour National, the Rainbow Defense Coalition, and the National Black Justice Coalition held a drag show outside of SCOTUS this morning, complete with scantily clad drag queens holding money, protesting in support of public schools being able to read LGBTQ books like “Puppy Pride” to kindergartners in public schools and for parents to be denied an opt out Option.
