Janis has the right to quiet enjoyment on her property. The neighbor needs to figure out how to keep her kids and their ball off Janice’s property.

On the original post almost everyone was. Most likely a bunch of childless people

Depends how often. Once a week or so? Kid's side. Multiple times a day? Old lady's

If the kids keep playing ball and bouncing it into a neighbor's private property, the neighbor is allowed to be irritated that they keep trespassing to retrieve it. Once or twice is fine, but constantly? No. Control your toys better.

You dont control what you dont own. If it were a regular issue, I'd leave the ball and call the cops if they trespassed to retrieve it.
