Almost nobody can build a state of the art jet engine. The first jet engine was built in 1937. I'm pretty sure they didn't use lasers to cut holes in the blades back then.

The Italians and the Germans had jet-engine planes by the end of World War II -- in 1945. They worked. They flew. And they didn't have microprocessed turbine blades no one can manufacture today.

Almost everything in the world is like this. There is no single person who could create something even as simple as a toaster directly from iron ore. We all stand on the shoulders of giants, including the giants themselves.

When people create an el cheapo jet engine from fewer 3D printed parts, everyone are going to have a field day 😀

Im in this field. There is so much the government burdens manufacturing with. AS9100 going away, now AS9102 which is mandating small companies to ramp up cyber security. If theres any military spec called out on a part used only on commercial, DLA can shut the world down in their infinite wisdom. Suppliers are not getting paid regularly. Every company delays payments. Ma and pa shops cant work like this. Just a few to name. We will destroy our own capabilities in the end

China cannot manufacture jet engines, yet. C919 depends on engines built by US. This is major reason Comac is not a serious player

This guy underestimated Me when the video started. Give me the blueprints and I'll have 2 by next winter. Plus some change... Give me the blueprints of the latest fighter jet and I'll sell it to your competitor for the price of 20/50/100... With the money, I'll build only 2.

BS , japan can make airplanes , jet engines , avionics , missiles , tanks , robots ... all without outside help !! US military depended on japan tech

I really love such animations, but I frikkin' hate this stupid, "epic" background music. I know shit like this gets more views, so I am not the targeted group. In my eyes this is really annoying and made me turn this off.

Same with microchips (nanochips really) they now so tiny with just a couple of atoms between circuits the entire manufacturing facility to produce them with such precision is tremendously difficult to replicate.

If you can't build it, then how are modern jet aircraft made?

The argument is accurate, but the video has some strange aspects. It's difficult to demonstrate a technical design using AI.

Your turbine blade is installed at front-mid of the engine, which is bullshit. This AI video is BS.
