Don't use poison. Take any isopropyl alcohol (71% could work, but try to use 91%+), buy a small syringe (for epoxy or irrigation, no needle), and load that with alcohol. Aim and shoot at the insect. You need at least one drop to hit it. It permanently destroys their "lungs".
